  ehh it depends. im a fan of a few players and like to see them play well except when they play my team.

  As long as he only roots for the player and doesnt claim hes been a fan since......(who ever played there) then that's fine.
  
  I'm a die hard laker fan but Vince carter is one of my favorite players I root for him ONLY to have a good game. I can give a shit if his team wins or lose or how his teammates perform. As long as he had a good game.
