What about them?...I don't like their lyrics..at all...And I've never been impressed by any of them...Apart from Budden

The only thing you need to succeed in Hip Hop is lyrics.

I agree...but there is more to lyricism than "I'm more this than that" and "You're so that you're this"...How about a little metaphor...or storytellin'...or visuals
  • And another thing...IMO...Other than Budden...They're not even that good of MCs...They're OK...I guess...They don't ever say much, though...

i know it was your opinion but i had to give you a wack for that one

    What makes them good MCs?

And could you at least give me an ether for my OP?...I've never got a full set before...

Nope, lyrical lyrics about being lyrical.

Even though all of them can spit, they are a terrible group. LOL@em scrapping D12 and replacing with slaughterhouse.

Slaughterhouse is a weak ass name too, im sure they could have done something that would pull more attention

So I guess u prefer the same shit wack played all day..

No...Not a fan of 'trap' music...Or this two-step crap that's out...Lookin' forward to Nas' album...errm...That's about it...I think Jay's got an album comin' soon...Kanye too...Oh and No-Malice's album...Other than that...Most new rap is wack to me...And I'm not these 90's niggas that think all hip-hop has to be sampled and have drumloops to be good...I'm just tired of the same shit over and over...Which is why my iPod is full of rock these days...And I like Meek Milli too...For some reason...

C/S, especially the bolded. I was gonna make a thread about how bored I am of rap music today and all I really listen to is soul and rock, but I'm too lazy.

As far as SH goes, I keep hearing people say shit like they have no subject matter and they rap about nothing. What does Wayne rap about? Or Nicki, 2 Chainz, Future, or most of these cats for that matter. The only mainstream artists with more diverse subject matter is Drake, J Cole and Wale. SH can rap, well... and that's something hip hop hasn't seen in a long time. Granted, they're missing something musically (beats is a big problem in that camp), but I listen to them for quality bars, and they definitely deliver.

Celler Door that's you huh Shadyteam or Bigaveli? You now where I stand when I was tellin you last year. You're the only person that i've seen hate these guys for no reason. If they shows need work then that's one thing...fuck Tyga's shows need fuckin work...but to act like they talentless is just cray. I like the fact they tryna not sound like these other terrible wack rappers out here. If they ever get some great beats and good promotion they would probably start alotta rappers wantin to do the group thing and focus lyrically on spittin flames.

Never liked Wayne...And that includes the infamous 05-07 period when he was constantly called 'the best rapper alive'...But at least them YMCMB niggas and them MMG goons provide club music...I'm not so deluded that I think all music has to be cultured and brilliant in its craft...I like YMCMB in the club...and in the club/whip only...save for a few exceptions...I love She Will for some reason

Slaughterhouse ain't wack. Given the skills they exhibit so often, and the personal themed music Joey is known for, it would be nice to hear more diversity in the concepts of the songs they make.

Lol...Saigon made this claim a few years back. And it's ironic because I first heard about Slaughterhouse on the song Slaughterhouse from Joey's Halfway House album.

Nino had bars, but his delivery is feeble imo.

The only difference I see between these dudes verses and 2 Chainz verses is 2 Chainz shit is actually entertainin.

So how 2 Chainz get the gas face?

Lol.. what is the difference nigga?

I just listened to the slaughterhouse track, shit was ass.

I heard no difference from the way these basement rat niggas construct they verses from 2Chainz, none at all.

Remember, i'm the one that's NOT biased.

If slaughterhouse was nice I would say so.

These niggas construct they verses the same way as Tit if anything Tit more lyrical than them niggas. I said dat shit. Swamp say it.

For real, Ill agree that slaughterhouse always had those beats/production that sounded like they were trying to get radio friendly, but saying these guys are wack is fucking dumb. Get them on a freestyle (all slaughterhouse went OFF on that shady 2.0 Cypher) or listen to that shit accapella and they got some damn good bars. Im not saying every song will blow your mind but how the fuck people gonna call 2 Chainz or Wayne lyrical and these guys weak. Bars just flying over their heads. Crooked I's flow is out of this world.
