I see what Nas is doing and I respect it.

"The Don" was some straight cultural Afrikan-Jamaican boom-bap projects & pyramids, Beats-&-Rhymes to show us that he aint on that bullshit Euro-Techno-Homo-Emo-Mullatto shit thats infested the culture.

"Black Girl Lost 2" was some ish for the Sistas on some straight Black woman empowerment shit to show that the White-Bitch movement in Hip-Hop is not the musical direction Nas is going in.

"Daughters" is the follow up to the Black Family saga Nas incorporated in his discography, hes the only rapper that has a song with his Father, a song with his Brother, a song with his cousin, a song with his Wife, a song dedicated to his Mother and now a song dedicated to his Daughter. Thats the Black family, next song will be about his Sun, Knight.

The cultural awareness that Nas is keeping alive within the culture is appreciated. he makes music for our community first and foremost without worrying about some cross-over shit or that grafted shit or that overseas-Euro shit.

SMH @ Carmen "Superhead before Superhead" Bryant. Doing a book talking about her sexcapades with NaS, Jay and A.I. is just as worst as Faith doing that ish with Biggie and Tupac in her book. As for the song saying nothing positive about Destiny, I felt the song was NaS addressing his disappointment in her about certain things and then owning up to the fact that he hasn't been the best father he could be. Because he's been a rap star her whole life he knows he wasn't there for her like he should of been. This song is like "Poppa was a Player" and "Black Girl Lost" had sex and "Daughters" came out. It's a real introspective joint of how NaS knows his issues with being Dad steam from his own father. Nas is the cultural ambassador to the culture, he makes music that truly reflects the Afrikan-American experience and what we go through, how we live, and what we feel. No other mainstream artist in HipHop captures our true emotions like Nas does which is why hes the Greatest of All Time.

I never criticize Chick-songs because I know them joints wasnt made for me, I gauge them joints on how my girls respond to them.

"Daughters" is the most honest song we have seen garner this much attention in ages, it personal, relevant, meaningful, and from the heart....I might be a little bias due to the subject matter but the fact remains.

We are at a critical juncture in HIPHOP were the artists/labels are so desperate for sales that they pander/cater to what they think the majority buying-demographic want to see and hear...a shrewd artist like Jayz will start his album with Luke Steele and end it with Mr Hudson....a shrewd artist like LiL Wayne will simply flash his skateboard in multiple videos and pose with electric guitars....Alex da kid & David Guetta production, Skylar Gray duets, Iggy co-signs......Busine$$.

Nas aint dropping radio-friendly songs with high-profile features, tokens, or techno, so all I can do is SALUTE the greatest emcee in the universe for staying true to the essence of the culture despite the temptation of going POP to collect a few extra dollars to pay off Uncle Sam who hates Nas with a passion.

Remember NaS aired out his dad over this Classic KanYe/D.Dot beat and then told him he loved him before the song was over. NaS does a great job on songs like this. Here is his 1st song to Destiny where he says nothing but postive things about her. I understand people might feel a way about him airing out his daughter a little on this but she aired out herself and NaS is only addressing it. And again he Ether himself for a being a bad father more than anything.
