I hate to say it but NY is done. The New York sound and rappers are not hot right now.

I was raised on NY rap, but yeah. The old style is done for. NY is too gentrified and these young ass 90s rappers grew up in the safe NYC era. They need to follow the Nu era West and re-invent themselves.

yeah its not in the complex i posted the vinny chase video lol and yeah he ran with that dude from entourage name ... i didnt even peep it until i searched his name in youtube and came up with a bunch of entourage videos and was like oh shit lol ... but you gotta search his name using the $ sign ... well maybe its me but IMO the other regions have better quality/potential right now, (not a fan of all of them)

Midwest got Stalley, Big Sean, LEP Bogus Boys, MGK, Chip Tha Ripper, Young Deuce, Tanya Morgan, Danny Brown
South got Cyhi, J Cole, Jay Electronica, Big KRIT, Short Dawg, Marcus Manchild, Kirko Bangz, Spaceghostpurrp, 2 Chainz, Currensy
West got TDE, Kid Ink, Odd Future, Casey Veggies, Slim da Mobster, Hopsin

i feel like the majority of the New Yorkers in this thread will disappear or something. Lol it hurts cuz i'm from Jersey, got mad fam in NYC so its always good to see a NYer do right but i just don't enjoy contemporary NYC hip hop right now

iight well after seeing that list, i gotta say NYC is just a lil behind those regions but the qaulity is just as good just the quantity is as abundant. But great post tho, it was real hard to come up with a rebuttable when you know u cant come up with one lol
