i've been saying he is another glenn robinson. people forget glenn robinson was a big time scorer. but in the playoffs when the games were more halfcourt defense could key up on him becasue he was only a scorer. carmelo has almost the same exact game

Melo wont be mentioned in those first names when people look back on this era.

    Lebron,Kobe,Wade,Dirk,Pierce, etc will be mentioned

Niggas like carmelo will get that Patrick Ewing type treatment

Nah at least Pat went to the finals twice nd when he got out the 1st round he went out against the unstoppable force of da Jordan Bulls for the most part, plus look at the rosters he was on in his prime he didnt have another 20 point scorer like Melo had. Melo had Stat, nd Iverson both capable of givin u 25 ppg Ewing had John Starks

^Ewing didnt play in the 99 finals he tore his achilles in the ecf vs the pacers

The kniccs will be better next year but I dont know if they can beat the heat in a series ever

u right my mistake at da bolded but IMO Melo needs to pull a Pierce nd sacrifice shots for the better of the team then be the closer. Their careers nd skill sets are similar they both had 1 trip to the Conference finals during their 9th year in da league both were top 5 scorers Melo was just in da playoffs more due to havin a betta team around him he doesnt have to take 25 shots a game for his team to win da more he realizes dat nd focuses more on defense, rebounding nd more hustle plays he might be able to lead his team to a long playoff run. Til then my opinion doesnt change 20,000 point scorer wit no rings or accolades

he won a college title, most outstanding player, freshman of the year, all nba rookie team, several all star games, and won a gold medal.

i don't care for the guy, but dont lie. he's got accolades.

The nigga is T Mac for the most part, great scorer and that's it. Dude does nothing outside of scoring to help his team.

I made the ewing comparison based on mention. When people mention the greats Ewing one of those names somebody has to take a lil time to think about. and that will be melo when people look back on this era.

you are right, after the first couple years everyone hoped and it even looked like it would be another Magic/Bird scenario where both would be great, lead great teams, and stay relevant. It hasn't worked out for Melo as much, so their names won't really be linked because of greatness 10-20 years from now.

ehh solid point same wit Vince Carter besides the bolded tho nd u see how bad people shit on him, this series was legacy defining i kno his team is outmatched but if u a superstar at least go ham nd win 1 game like wade in 2010 against the Celtics when he scored 46, Melo is just a star nd aint a top 10 player like alpha said its bout 5-10 players from dis era that'll be remembered nd mentioned before melo

Melo is Dominique with a jumpshot and without the hops. Dude is just a scorer nothing more nothing less. He shouldv'e stayed in Denver or went to the Bulls. Im tired of the excuses for this dude.

Carmelo Anthony's playoff record is NBA's worst in 20 years

But lost amid the Knicks' swoon is that Carmelo Anthony has been setting an individual record for postseason futility. The Wall Street Journal noted after New York's first loss in the series that it was Anthony's 50th career playoff game, and that he had the worst won-loss percentage of anyone to make that many postseason appearances in the last 20 years.

Since then, Anthony has been in two more playoff defeats, leaving him with a 16-36 (.308) career record.

Anthony is the only bona fide superstar among the worst 10 playoff winning percentages, which of course is largely due to the so-so crew he played with in Denver. But unless New York comes up with a miracle his team will have been bounced out of the playoffs in the first round in eight of the last nine seasons
    .

But Anthony's descent has fueled Shane Battier's rise. Battier had ranked sixth on the list (which was compiled by Stats LLC), but as a member of the Heat he's now only ninth. A win on Sunday likely would remove him from the worst 10.

    Here's the list:

    1. Carmelo Anthony, 16-36, .308

    2. Mookie Blaylock, 18-36, .333

    3. Eduardo Najera, 20-39, .339

    4. Chris Dudley, 20-34, .370

    5. Brad Miller, 19-31, .380

    6. Anthony Peeler, 22-35, .386

    7. Marcus Camby, 30-46, .395

    8. Stacey Augmon, 31-46, .403

    9. Shane Battier, 22-32, .407

    10. Tyron Corbin, 28-40, .412

    Well damn...

Here's some math I'm going to throw out to you about Melo in the playoffs:

Carmelo Anthony - Chauncey Billups = Tracy McGrady.

    Let that one marinate.

^^^^^^^^*Don't know shit about basketball post*^^^^^^^^^^^^

T-Mac in his prime is WAY WAY better than Melo. Not to mention T-Mac was a prototype of Magic Johnson. 6'9 with handles and passing, high IQ, fill up that stat sheet in every category aka he's a point forward.

Melo is a scoring small forward who can't pass, and has just aight handles. Melo also can't play defense to save his life, nor does he have a high basketball IQ. The only thing Melo thinks about is chuckin up a shot despite how the defense is playing him.

Stop the comparison bruh, you sound ridiculously stupid. Melo in NO WAY resembles T-Mac.

damn the bolded is true for all dat clutch comments he hasnt had many memorable playoff performances
  • Melo's legacy will be put on a pedestal like everyone else from NY. He's like a worse Dominique, but because he's in NY he'll be seen as an equal to Dominique.
