How the fuck are people allowed to force religious beliefs upon other people's lifestyles?

Well yeah kinda...just not the way most ppl do. There is supposed to be a separation of church & state so religion shouldn't be allowed to influence the law IMO. Gays don't even care about religious recognition anyway, they just want the legal recognition for other purposes (insurance, taxes, etc.)

Agreed religion has too much pull in american politics and law making what I dont agree with is the born homo thing. There are real homos and what I like to call fake homos.I believe you can be born gay or chemically inbalanced in that way. The shit I dont really agree with though is people who choose to be gay wtf is that?? But thats a whole nother can of worms.

Unfortunately, yes. I just returned from voting a bit ago and voted for them to have the same rights as straight couples. To disenfranchise someone on the terms of marriage because of a religious belief sickens me. Equal rights>

it's not about your personal beliefs, it's about impeding on someone else's life/free will with your beliefs. i believe it's wrong to drink alcohol, doesn't mean i can force my personal belief onto others. your values are for you, follow them yourself and don't worry about what someone else chooses to do with theirs, especially since it doesn't affect you in any way.
