Spinoff: 1 Town if you leave once you never come back.....

I went to school with a lot of dudes from Memphis. I found out that people from Memphis called it 1 town because if you ever left town once you would NEVER come back. Usually people are proud of their hometown and want to come back if not stay but I have met people from a handful of cities who have said they would never go back under any circumstances. What cities are 1 towns and if you live in one why is it a 1 town?

1 town list that I know of
Memphis
Detriot
New Orleans (NO people were telling me they would never go back and that was before Katrina)
LA (Everybody I knew from LA said they would go back but only if they were super paid)

Probably expensive cities that have a high cost of living. After you experience a more comfortable lifestyle in a more medium-sized city.

Chicago... there's places in Africa I'd go back to before I'd go back there. I thought that way about my home town too, but as I get older, I can't wait to go back.

If I ever get on my feet, get a job offer outta state, I'm outta here and never looking back. Also, Im from enterprise which is rumored to be the number one retirement spot. I moved from there in '08 and only go back cuz I got family there. Otherwise you wouldn't catch me back down there until retirement age and probably not even then.

Daytona Beach I hate that city got arrested there so fuck em.

Might be adding the whole state of California to this list. (They are 16 billions dollars in debt)

Hell really any mid-size city that is not considered a destination for young people.

But in the end, most cities can be labeled this because if you grew up there. Most of the time you would get tired of it. I know people that move down south and always talk about how it aint nothing like New York City. But if you ask them when they moving back. They like, "Shit fuck that! I am never going back there!'

I dream of being able to move back to Shreveport and make a difference. I still plan on it. But I have to get my shit back in order. Until then, I am grinding hard on this pavement.

THE NEWCOMERS TO A CITY MAKE THE BEST RESIDENCE! They frequent the tourist sights even after they have went three times. They appreciate the history. They have jobs most of the times. They moved there from somewhere else so they are usually concerned citizens. they usually vote and are involved in the politics.
