There's some truth to this. How can hip hop be blamed for negative shit when hip hop is an expression of the shit that's already going on ?

I don't know how it affects black progress though - unless we're referring to blacks who distance themselves from blacks who fuck with hip-hop. Any disunity would definitely hinder progress so, I can somewhat see that connection.

I.E. crunk music, dancing music, loving making music. When you here that type of music you wanna do it. It affects the young kids mainly.

The progression of blacks is slow because the black family has been systematically destroyed. Starting with the first kidnapped African slave who was ripped from his family. That's what destroyed progression in the black community. How can a kid progress when he doesn't know who his father is.
