having worked in a morgue for a while, i can't tell you how often i saw someone in their 20s and 30s dying from obesity related illnesses, everything from cancer to strokes to heart attacks. so i really have an issue when some try to assert that there's nothing wrong with being overweight/obese. everyone admits cigarettes are harmful, denying that having access weight on your body is detrimental to your health is like trying to say that cigarettes are not bad for you. and speaking up about the dangers of obesity is just as necessary as warning against smoking
