according to Melo around last years trade deadline he from New York it was "his home" even tho he grew up in West Baltimore nd got it tatted on him i still feel some type of way bout dat

yeah he was born in NY, but he came to bmore when he was like 4, all them cats ova west that held him down still driving them Lambos and Bentleys he bought them back in 2006 after he got his first real contract so he holds bmore down!!!

iont think he sold baltimore out i just thought dat "NY is my hometown, I was born nd raised here nd i wanna go back home" shit he was pullin at da deadline was corny as fuck to me

Yeah i didn't get that. As far as I knew Melo was always from and repped Bmore til the trade talk to NY came about. Then all of the sudden he was from NY and going back home.

And as much as folks from Prince Georges don't want to hear this you are part of the state of Maryland with Baltimore. So if you add in Bmore and all of MD then they take the cake by a mile.

Can't just say this DMV shit and lump every single person from Maryland and Virgina in that. If you weren't dam near crying last week when Chuck Brown died then you aren't part of the DMV. Niggas in Bmore got their own identities and folks in Southern VA got their own identities. We can claim Durant who is from Suitland but we can't claim rudy Gay and Melo.

Still DC summer leagues are the best. thus why everyone shows up and balls there. Goodman league is the best

alot of the players from maryland are mostly from pg county for some reason

it's called gentrification. A lot of the black folks from DC have been moved out to PG. Black population is decreasing in DC but growing in the suburbs. White ppl moving back to the city while black folks moving out to the burbs. They don't move to Mo county or Northern VA b/c it's too expensive. Pg got some bomb ass AAU teams. This is the number 1 recruiting area in the country for basketball. Catholic leagues around here are tough.

Dude that is the point guard for North Carolina is from PG too. dude that hurt his wrist.

I don't believe there's a mecca for basketball anymore, I think it's more like a diaspora of talent. A lot of the top ballers are from random backgrounds.

L.A. don't even claim the players I got bolded so why are they even on the list?

That's like Eddy Curry being on a list of Chicago players
