When will black ppl stop being surprised by white ppl's audacity and racism

They been consistent for hundreds of years so its time to cut out all that "OMG I cant believe a caucasian would do something such as this!"

The internet is one of the last outlets for the avg white person to freely express racism so what do you expect. Stop acting yall like never seen a Yahoo or Youtube comments section

Bullets and ignorance don't make for a great mixture and neither one has any consideration for their target. If you live and breathe, that makes you a target whether intended or unintentional. The stray bullets hurt just as bad as the ones that hit intended targets. It's not an issue of race or color, but staying aware of your surroundings. It's dumb that people are making this some kind of trend like they did planking. Regardless of color, this is disrespect period.

Case in point, the world was up in arms weeks ago about how Travon's shooting proves that this isn't Post-Racial America. I know what the term insinuates, but what does that even mean anyway. If someone thinks they are any better off (no matter the race) because of who is in office, then we have bigger problems than race issues.

My last point is this, Robert Champion died as a result of hazing. He was a student band member at FAMU. The people involved in his murder have yet to be brought to justice. Was he also murdered just for being Black?

Sometimes you think we've made some progress racially, then they make Trayvon firing targets, take "Trayvoning" pictures and Zimmerman gets tons of anonymous donations.

And then I feel like America has gone back 30 years since Barack was elected.

It's funny televisions have made more progression than human beings. Televisions now show a multitude of colors in high definition, but with people everything is so black and white. What's even sadder is humans made the televisions, but still have yet to fully develop the picture.

His killers were charged. Nobody said they were cool and that got news coverage. Race wasn't an issue because they were black and it was an accident went wrong, not a stalking and murder. That story was on the news too.

... and thank you for making my point. It doesn't matter whether you are of the same color or affiliation of a group, a life is a life. He wasn't targeted for his skin color whether it was an accident or not. Like Travon's parents, Champion's parents want justice for their son. Stories like Travon's and Robert's occur often, but it's unspoken and often goes without coverage until someone decides to take something that occurs everyday to create controversy.

A thorough investigation began the night Robert Champion died.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Thirteen people were charged Wednesday for their roles in the hazing death of a Florida A&M University drum major who was severely beaten in what appears to be one of the biggest college hazing cases ever.

The charges were announced more than five months after 26-year-old Robert Champion died aboard a chartered bus parked outside an Orlando hotel following a performance against a rival school. The case has exposed a harsh tradition among marching bands at some colleges around the U.S.

Champion was severely beaten by band members in November and had with bruises on his chest, arms, shoulder and back, authorities said. Witnesses told emergency dispatchers Champion was vomiting before he was found unresponsive aboard the bus.

State Attorney Lawson Lamar said 11 of the 13 people will face a hazing resulting in death charge, a third-degree felony. If convicted, they could face up to nearly six years in prison. The other two people will face a misdemeanor charges.

There has never been a story like Robert Champion's before, as no one has ever been killed as a result of hazing in a marching band. And when historically Black university marching bands are exposed for hazing, it's national news. HBO aired a documentary on hazing at Southern University and Jackson State University.

Damn, you aren't making any type of sense. The media clearly has exacerbated things if you have not noticed. They don't give a damn about us out here in America, so why would their be widespread media coverage about black on black violence? You know they are going to throw the book at Robert's accidental killers while Zimmerman walks free. And you know what their justification is going to be for not locking Zimmerman up? The same logic you are using right now. What side are you on?
  • 1. its disrespectful.

    2. we wonder what we ever did for them to hate us...do you really wonder? we do it to ourselves. the fact you even ask that makes you just as dumb as them.

    3. the internet is not representation of the united states.

    4. yall on the IC can post bout the white devil, white pop fans, white "taking" hiphop, and bboying ect, yet cry victim when you see racist shit online. fuck outta here.

    5. we as black people dont deserve the hate but we definitely dont help AT ALL.
    ghost tho
  • Think about it, these an unarmed black man/minority can get shot in broad daylight and nothing happens to the police. Ive been dealing with the NYCPD for my entire life...theyre as racist as they come

and yall wonder why people hate on us? the fact that this happened makes you think its ok for something to "happen to the police".

smh. the fact that this is ok in yall minds just proves my point.

  • al sharpton is a bad leader. when we get a black leader who both condemns white people for hate crime AND black people for hate crime with the same effort, then ill support him. until then, our black "leaders" are nothing more than race ambulance chasers
