Anybody else thought that scene where captain america tips nick fury was a reference to how racist Americans used to be in the past?
tips? you reachin on that...they made a bet earlier when cap was hittin the heavy bag.
I know I read about that after. But up until that point they were playing off Captain America's being from the past so heavily, especially with Iron Man's making fun of him and the way Captain America calls all women "ma'am" and stuff it seemed like a reference to America's racist past.
Of course white folks wouldn't want to be reminded that they used to be racist though, especially in such a popular film

Or he could have just lost a bet...
Are you inbred? You do know that in the 40s, when Captain Racist Cracker served, there was a segregated military right?
Or is your head too far up your own ass to know this?

Shit is fiction, not real life. Cap served with at least one black person in his group.
I'm sorry, but I don't know what the fuck movie you guys seen. Avengers was average AT BEST. The first hour was dragging, the action was minimum, and the storyline sucked...overall it was an overhyped movie, and I'm not even that much of a comic book geek. And whoever thought this movie was fucking with Spiderman 2 and/or Dark Knight, "stick yo self!"
props to whoever put that shit on youtube. movie was good, good special effects, not a big emphasis on the plot which could have taken away from the great action in the movie and the hulk was on beast mode

paraphrasing the scene
"gym scene"
cap'n: im not sure you can show me anything stranger than ive already seen
fury: i'll bet you $10 otherwise
"flight control room scene"
*ship starts to float/fly*
cap'n: pulls out $10 and fury takes it
messed up part is that the Dark knight trailer was the last one they showed before the movie started and thats all
I could think about for the next 20 mins
Comic-Con: Marvel Presents Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Cap 2, and Ant-Man
by Jim Vejvoda
July 14, 2012
Marvel made some huge announcements Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con about their "Phase Two" of self-produced movies. Thor 2 will be titled Thor: The Dark World. Captain America 2 will be called Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Yes, they're going there!
But that wasn't all Marvel revealed. They brought out writer-director Edgar Wright who showed the crowd his recently filmed proof of concept test footage for Ant-Man.
Anthony Mackie Cast as Falcon in Captain America 2
The Hurt Locker star joins The Winter Soldier as Cap's partner.
by Jim Vejvoda JULY 16, 2012
Actor Anthony Mackie will play Cap's partner Falcon in the forthcoming sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The Hollywood Reporter says the Hurt Locker and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter actor is currently in negotiations with Marvel Studios to play Sam Wilson, aka the Falcon, a social worker-turned-costumed crime fighter in Harlem.
Falcon was the first African-American superhero in mainstream comics. In the original Marvel Comics, Falcon became an Avenger; in the Ultimates universe, he is an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Falcon will be making his live-action, big screen debut with the Cap sequel, which will be directed by the Russo brothers. Falcon's inclusion in the sequel isn't a complete surprise as speculation has suggested he would be after Marvel revealed he's in the lineup of their upcoming Avengers Assemble animated TV series.
