If Saigon is truly concerned about unemployment/Jobs in the Afrikan-American community then he should open up the "HipHop Grub Spot" in Florida or open up a "Wingstop" in Memphis.

Become a C.E.O and and give 30 Black and Latino males jobs within the industry: hire producers, rappers, DJ's, engeineers, videographers, bodyguards etc.....

You can whine, cry, and complain about subject matter in rap songs or you can go back to your community and annually give food and school supplies to the less fortunate.

That's cool when ross does his charity thing but it still doesnt change what he raps about period.....you can post all the good things ross or mmg does in their spare time but as far as their music who has a positive message in their lyrics? the only one I see is wale and maybe stalley at times that's what sai's talking about just because you do a food drive or donate clothes and other stuff doesnt change what you rap about

Dont get me wrong, I was the one listening to Pac, Playa Fly, Outkast and others who had what I felt was a more positive message while i tried to do right while others I knew stayed on that trap, crime rap and it seemed to influence them to act like that. So I get it. its just the me of today can listen to whatever outlandish crime music and Im to grown for it to influence me in a negative way. But I understand if you dont know no better it could. But instead of tryin to stop a man from makin his money (which aint gon work) Id rather let the people around me know the difference between real and entertainment.

uh no you're missing the point it's not about who was first rapper to talk about drugs because biggie is not alive and jay dont rap about dope no more and sai was talking about all the rappers who rap like ross and big sean but used those two as examples....how didnt sai mentioned this on his first album? he had been talked about this BEFORE the album dropped on damn near all his mixtapes you cant look pass some of the songs where talked about guns and robbing niggas but nobody wants to mention songs like color purple, favorite things, I know, What A Life....bruh I bring up alot more songs similiar like those and saigon is not trying to stop these niggas grind but what he's doing is opening a whole new lane besides the ones that are out now

I never met anybody who started committing crimes because of music or a tv show. Yeah media is powerful, but its not more influential than friends and family.

You are who you associate with. If your friends are crooks and lowlifes, chances are you are too.

If your pops was getting it in the 60's & 70's (BEFORE RAP MUSIC) then theres a good chance that you're going to follow in those footsteps.

The negativity in the Black community Sai is talking about is a direct result of prison culture coming home with the folks that got locked up during the get tough on crime initiative of the 60's and 70's and the war on drugs of the 80's and the 90's. If you wanna blame somebody lets start with Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush & Clinton.

Also, drug dealers get a bad rap. Nobody is forcing those people to be customers and the biggest consumers of hard drugs is middle class White people. John F Kennedy is a damn hero in this country and his pops was a bootlegger selling illegal alcohol.

It's a part of conditioning people to think or behave a certain way.

I look at a lot of films and think: "is this a reflection of society as it is, or the way the filmmakers want it to be?"

It's not going to happen right away, but the long term effects will be felt when the plans come to fruition.

The US government started using Hollywood films to push whatever agenda they wanted. Popular music also followed suit.

There is plenty of research out there about this topic, for those who are interested.

Rick Ross is becoming stale to me as well, brother needs to switch it up its all good rapping about selling cocaine, taking trips to exotic countries, but at least try to switch it up once in a while, dude never offers an alternate angle or ever tries to include some social commentary into his songs, in that respect he deserves all the criticism he gets, also in his last couple mixtapes he has regressed lyrically.

I been sayin this for a while Rap Music is sooooo disconnected from Reality its a shame. The broker ppl got the more expensive the cars, Clothes etc got. Prime example when Ross bought Meek a Range and niggas was like "A Range? That's it?" A 60k car ain't enough u gotta get a Million dollar car. But these rappers are so removed from their community that u can't blame them. But that's why the J Coles, Drakes, Wales are needed.
