Dont let a couple of trollers force you to make a thread like this tho. You cant change the mecca of anything hence why mecca is use as the synonym. Those who practice Islam still travel to mecca thousands of years later. Regardless how better another region gets or how bad nyc can be it will always be the mecca.

Yes, ODB was from BK. Jay Z and Big sampled Dirty voice on "BK's Finest" saying "Brooklyn, Brooklyn". But the photo was cool, it just really brought out how NYC has bread Legendary Rappers. And yes though Long Island isn't apart of the City. It's still apart of New York and is an extension of NYC. Queens is connected to Long Island, where NaS grew up in Long Island City/Astoria. So Rakim and even Prodigy were born in Long Island. It would be cool to see a map of some other regions and all the rapper's they produced. I'm saying NY would win against any of them as far as producing Great rap artist.

the thing about the whole Brooklyn/Queens & Long Island thing is although we are all Nyer we are From NYC while they are considered from NYS as is Yonkers
