My biggest "aw...shit" moment was when I was watching an old Jackson 5 tv performance and a sample jumped right off the television and smacked me in the face. Not Kanye West but the legendary Bomb Squad flipped a sample that even included screams from the crowd into one of the hardest beats ever.

btw, i remember reading something about dj toomp used to go record shopping for kanye and pick his samples. im sure kanye digs himself, but he (and a lot of other producers) dont do all there own digging
