Funkmaster Flex Drops Angry Rant On Rival Radio Station, But Wife's Restraining Order Proves He Has Issues | Bossip

they claim to have tapes lol :dead::facepalm:[/QUOTE]

No need to update you on the history (Angela Yee & Angie Martinez the only ones seem neutral), but Hot 97 and Power 105 been going back and forth like crazy with all their Vj/Djs throwing shots back and forth.

Digging up court-files with government names and personal info to expose and humiliate a rival on the radio seems a bit extreme but I guess it's good for ratings.

Is this just the competitive nature of the culture or just more negativity that can be associated with the culture?

It just makes the NY hip hop scene look cornier to people outside that Tri-State area that Hot97 and Power105 serve...Flex and most them NY DJ's been seen as clowns by people outside NY for years, especially Flex...I don't know nobody outside NY that actually likes that nigga...

*Edit..but I did just laugh like shit when this nigga said "Mr. Cee likes trannies and you beat women. Don't none of ya'll like females over there" lmao

  • I wish that hip hop djs would focus on the music but if you put two ppl in a room and throw some money in there, the people will fight for it. Been that way since dawn of man. You just got two groups of people fighting for ratings. Its sad, but thats the nature of the beast.

Everybody with an Iheart radio app listens to Power 105 and everybody with the Hot97 app catches Hot97.

If you on Twitter then you seen the back & forth.

When you make the front page of Bossip, WorldStar, and MediaTakeout it's not just isolated to rap fans on the Internet anymore.

....but Im asking if when you have the two biggest HipHop stations in the HipHop Mecca beefing with artists and beefing with eatch other is it a good look for the culture or just a black eye on the culture that shows we invest in negativity too much.

Didn't Flex smack up Steph Lover some time ago because she said he accepted payola? I remember the rumor being he caught her outside of the radio station, punched her, stomped or kicked her once or twice, then took out some bills and made it rain on her in a show of disrespect. Then after that incident, I remember she left NY and became a DJ down in DC for a while on either WPGC or WKYS.

here's a small history of Flex beating on women
    http://www.sohh.com/2011/02/funkmaster_flex_arrested_in_nyc_flex_pus.html

All this "flexing" and running of the mouth and nothing toe to toe with a man.

then when he's called out on his shit, he backtracks, and tries to positively justify his actions/comments

nigga is weak. Nas even said, "look at his face, he's a punk".

Nah Hrap considering how many people listen to hip-hop now most people not going to care that 2 radio stations djs are beefing no matter if it is in the front pages of those websites you named. But to answer your question it is not a good luck

So corny that everybody is following it yet nobody knows of non NY stations outside of that respective market? I see people asking for NY'ers to upload these airings.

This episode did seem somewhat corny tho lol.

No wonder Flex and Pun were tight...Pun just upgraded to eating sheetrock plaster, drinking tar shakes, and pistol whipping his bitch with automatic weapons for leaving the toliet seat down...

Any dude who has to literally beat a woman down is a weak minded individual..Even tho I'm pro shaking a emotionally unstable woman to make her calm down.

New York is starting to look like some shuckin n jiving, transexual loving, metro sexual, soft shoe pussy house as far as this rap shyt is concerned

Its zero unity and these radio DJs are worst than as the world turns..Always yapping about their opinions and spewing extreme doses of negativity at people..

I can't stand a weak loud mouth nigga..and thats what its looking like the NYC scene is turning into..A bunch of crabs in a buckets with failed music industry aspirations

*Pours a glass* *Raises it*...I would like to toast this HUGE glass of shut the fuck up to the whole new york hip hop scene..May ya'll hoe sissy hard ass dykes get well soon and go back to U.N.I.T.Y[/i]

Its like what Howard Stern said when the Cee incident happened at the time. No one cares. Especially outside of NY/NJ area. Radio is pretty much the same in every city now, you'll hear the same popular song on any station getting played to death.

I didnt make them important HipHop did and the beef with YMCMB ain't hurtin' either.
Every DJ I know me included keeps their ears open to radio from the six big cities and NY gets exclusives more than any other area so hate them or love them they are still an important part of the culture.
