Now dont get me wrong, i like 3 Stacks & Black Thought, both are extremely talented, but i dont think people should be putting them in their top 10 DOA list.

Biggest Reason: They have no catalogue. Neither have albums out. How can u be a top 10 rapper, but yet u have never released an album. And dont bring up the Outkast or Roots catalogues, cuz that dont count. Those were all group efforts. 3 Stacks didnt do all that by himself, and neither did Black Thought. Those are group efforts, not solo efforts, so therefore, they dont count to either rapper's catalogue.

So the point is, even though 3 Stacks & Black Thought are both GREAT lyricist, they have no catalogue and neither have put out an album. So neither of them should be mentioned in the Top 10 DOA list

co sign this thread, ive never been that impressed with 3stacks though he is the best rapper to come outta the souf, but really you dont have to be anything special to be on that list

they wrote the lyrics so why don't they count toward their catalogs? 3000's place in my top 10 based on his lyrics not on his songs...if thats the case then you could say you can't put Biggie or Pac in a top 10 cause they died before they could hit their peaks, you can't be making up rules like a person has to have this or that or this kind of career...3000's lyrics are superior than a majority of the rap games and i'm going to not put him in my top 10 cause what...he happens to be on a song with another dude for most of his career? It would be a different story if Big Boi was writing the lyrics, in fact if you want to get technical i believe it was Cee-lo who said that on at least the first album and maybe others Dre was writing all the lyrics his and Big Bois, and those are both certified classics, while his lack of solo material keeps him from being in my top 3...it certainly does not keep him out of my top 10....

That's some of the worst logic ever presented in a Reason thread that wasn't made as a joke.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of people to agree with you that they aren't Top 10, but your reason is as about as valid as "because they never had a dance to go along with a song," or "thier beats aren't hot enough."
