People have been saying that there have been no classic albums lately and prolly wont be for a while. But i think there are 2 artists that have the best chance at making a classic album
Fabolous- Fab has always the lyrical ability and the talent surrounding him. You cant tell me you wasnt feelin him when Ghetto Fabolous came out. He is just very lazy. He has everything it takes to be a big star, its just he chooses not to, and sticks to his comfort zone. The lyrical ability is still there but he needs to stop being lazy, and be more versatile. I believe he can cuz i have heard some from him. If he can finally step up and have that put his mind to it and add some versatility, he can make a classic album. T.I. - I have to admit, that Paper Trail was a hot album, and i always seem to be more impressed with him the more i hear him. And he has the hunger and drive to make a classic. Its almost time for him to go to jail. He needs to use alot of that time to step his rap game up, and stick to writing his lyrics, cuz he is deeper when he writes, and he will remember all his lyrics when he is done with his bid. He can take the Pac approach and focus on making great music, cuz he has the hunger and drive that Pac had when he was rapping. So when he gets out he can make an All Eyez On Me type album, which is a classic.
Both these rappers have everything it takes to make a classic. But they both need to get their minds right and have that hunger and drive. They are both young and have time. I believe that the next UNDENIABLE CLASSIC album will come from either of them, if not both. Only time will tell, so we will have to wait and see what happens in the next few years, but i got my money on Fab & T.I.
We got to keep it real, and what reality and reality will keep it real with us
I remember them good ol days Because see, that's the child I was What made me the man I am today See cause if you forget where you come from, You're never gonna make it where you're goin, Because you lost the reality of yourself So take one stroll through your mind And see what you will find And you'll see a whole universe all over again and again and again and again and again |

ya gotta admit, the fact that you asked for clarification before even posting a single song doesn't bode too well....
I'm not saying such songs don't exist, keep in mind, I just don't know of em. But in order to make a classic, IMO, he's gotta be able to make a well rounded album that shows growth in perspective and content. Just my opinion.

not all modern hip hop is about that--hopefully you are aware of that. That shit gets old real quick. Hopefully you are aware of that too.
