Who are some artists that you were certain were going to blow up, but for some reason they didnt....

1. Joe Budden - After "Pump It Up" and the beef with Jay-Z

2. Red Cafe - Looked like with the mixtape craze at the time he was going to blow up.

3. Stat Quo - Along with Atlanta explosion with T.I., Lil Jon, Jeezy and B.C. he had the backing of the machine

Killer Mike easily..I mean I still think he had the best album in 08' but theres only a few thousand of us who actually bought it

And I know alot of people will argue both ways on this but I thought Julez would b the face of hiphop right now or atleast where if not in the place of where Wayne stands..he's not irrelevant but no 1 is really checking for Ulez like we were when the Back like cooked crack mixtapes dropped then his albums were dope n he basically destroyed Wayne on the Blow mixtape..

I agree with Royce if he woulda stayed with Eminem, i think he coulda been the 4th cog in the machine along with Em, 50 & Dre.

I think Obie & Lloyd's personalities held em back. If they tried to pull a Game and try to get outta the shadow of their mentor than they couldve blown.

A lot of ppl think Killer Mike woulda blown....do u guys think he could make like good singles because thats the only thing idk about??

I agree 100% with that statement. If only he was able to release another album to capitalize on his buzz and was able to jump on some other ppls singles. Supposedly Cam was holdin him back, i believe that

Joe Budden.........I just KNEW Pump It Up was the hottest club track that year after "In The Club" and Joe was goin Plat. then he dropped that wack song with Busta and just sorta fell off the mainstream radar after that.

alot of niggas from NY who had dope songs but seemingly dissappeared.........(i.e. Bathgate, Troy Ave., etc)

The biggest one though.....is Jae Millz. He had the recipe for success. A huge underground mixtape following, two classic widely-viewed battles (Mook, Ness), a major deal, hot singles (No No No, Streets Melting, etc). hopefully he'll do somethin on Young Money but we all know what happens when rappers sign to rapppers............

i would say Clipse, but they're getting ready to release an album... these dudes started the whold dope boy craze... 'nuff said

Quan... dude went in on his verse on Nas's song (Just a Moment) and he had a good singing voice, too....

Fam-Lay... he had the Rock N Roll track with Lil Flip back in the day...

Bump J... he had some music featured on Madden 06 and he had some pretty good mixtapes...

J.R. Writer... despite fire mixtape after fire mixtape and a good first album, dude just couldnt/cant catch a break...
