Instead of doing the typical reason thing and making a thread entiled J. Cole>>>>Nas just to get attention I'm going to keep it positive. There's a lot of new talent out there. Young MCs on the come up. I'm not downing any of them but in my opinion J. Cole is the best out of all them. He's a very talented, well rounded MC. If you know about him bump the thread and if you don't know wake up. I'ma post his 1st mixtape the Come Up first, His newest mixtape The Warm Up, some tracks, and some interviews along the way. Oh yea and if ya'll know be my now you know I don't listen to dudes that can't flow. This guys flow and delivery is NUTS imo.

They're both the future. At least with J. Cole you don't have to worry about him singing though or Wayne's autotune/rockstar influence. He seems pretty level headed. I fuck with both though and I'll probably buy both albums. J. Cole needs more recognition because the more buzz he gets the sooner dudes album will drop. Drake's album is a sure thing now.

I have to say this dude is a true lyricist. After I listened to the Warm Up sampler he put out I went and downloaded everything he's done and to me all of it is fire. I downloaded The Warm Up mixtape yesterday and its the first mixtape since Drake's So Far Gone that I can play without skipping a track. I don't know why he isn't mentioned with the rest of the rappers on that XXL cover. Him and Drake was left out and to me they are better than all the rest of them excluding Asher Roth and B.O.B I think those 4 are gonna be the ones that make a real impact on the game. Wale trying to build hype by making niggas wait forever for Back to the Feature and build up the buzz Drake had with So Far Gone but its not working. Charles Hamilton is just a douche. Ace Hood is WACK. Curren$y smart by doing his shit independent. Blu is dope but needs to keep the music coming cuz I loved Below the Heavens. Cory Gunz is nice too. Mikey Factz is... eh... Kid Cudi needs to put out his album already. But honestly I can see why Jay signed him. Its probably a blessing in disguise that he hasn't been put out there like that yet. Look how Drake blew up. He had a couple of mixtapes out there and had been grinding for a while before So Far Gone. Hopefully the same thing happens for J.Cole cuz he's just as niceif not nicer. I know I'm probably gonna catch a lot of hate for this statement but I think in the coming years people are gonna be debating J.Cole vs Drake just like they do Nas vs Jay-Z. You can see the similarities Drake is a lyricist that has crossover appeal and can churn out radio hits like Jay. J. Cole is a lyricist that is deeper but can still sell records. I'm just sayin... |
