Luke - fought the freaking government for the right to talk as nasty and ignorant on records under the guise of free speech. Plus, he was the first muthafucka to really say, fuck lyrics, I'm gon get the party jumping.

Souljah Boy Tell 'Em - made suburban nerdy Negroes a viable force in mainstream rap music by going to the Internet to release music and make videos. There were no nerdy niggas in the mainstream before Souljah Boy. Even nas, as smart as he is, was never looked at as a nerd, but more of a fly project dude. KRS and Public Enemy were not nerds but too cool for school.

Souljah Boy, as wack as he is, is a contributor to this culture, albeit minor. His career may be over after the tweet shit, but speaking as a veteran, the longer he stays around, the more I tend to like him. I'll never bump his shit, but he is somehwhat to be respected for this generation of non-lyrical rappers.

But I will take Luke on this one. That shit was crazy back then. I thought it would be end of rap music. Then Ice-T followed up with the cop killer osng and the album titled "Freedom of SPeech, Just Watch What You Say" Shit was drastic.

Luke is the man

Somebody once told me that I'm already in hell
Freedoms a state a mind
And just the heart of me's in hell
I free my slave mind so a part of me's in hell
And when it's hard to breathe, a part of me inhale
So pardon me

His music was smooth and he brought miami to the map, as for soulja dick, he's a piece of junk and he will not be remembered.
