1. Young Jeezy is hip hop. Maybe not the most lyrical cat in the game, but I appreciate (just about) all of his music.
2. If you're not trying to be lyrical, or purposely not saying anything meaningful in your songs, then you are not being a real rapper.
3. Rap Music is a component of Hip Hop, not synonymous with it.

I have posted this before but the problem i have with the way Jeezy raps is that he doesnt carry his rymes over, he will rap somthing like "I cook up crack and sell it too your Mans B" "and then go and hide the grams at my Aunties" then he goes on to say "I punish niggas with my 9" "hit you in the one eye and leave you half blind"(wack lyrics i know but you get the point) it takes absolutly no talent to rhyme like this. |

hiphop was about message to me. & if a person have a message negative or postive it's hiphop IMO. We all have our choices of what artist we want to listen 2. I might think somebody's song is corny, or dont like what I see. However ppl make shit difficult when they try to break hiphop into these little peices to make it seem like ppl have to be so exclusive to make hiphop music.
if you cant recognize someonelse LOVE you are not CONSCIOUS.. POINT BLANK... all these people holla I'm conscious, but yet they cant recognize REAL or LOVE when they see it. Where is your spiritual sense? Your conscious dosent kick in and let you know who's real? { oh then you are not in touch.}
