Is it safe to say 50 Cent destroyed his own rap career by hating on others too much?

Yes, this is a response to another thread by a similar title, however my information is more accurate.

When 50 first strolled on the scene he was backed by Dr Dre and Eminem, whom 50 owes his career too. 50 saw beefing as a way to gain more popularity instead of letting his music speak for itself, so album after album he found someone new to diss, but everyone he disses he just dug a deeper hole for his rap career. Look at the list of rappers 50 has beefed with but couldn't take. Let's take a trip down memory lane...

Ja Rule: This is the only real beef 50 has had, he basically went after him because he was the biggest artist out at the time plus they were enemies on the streets for real. Ja Rule has been mistakenly thought of as been destroyed by 50 when Ja was no longer the biggest rapper known around that time. Everyone knows that every rapper has they moment of popularity but it doesn't last forever, just cause Ja's popularity moment was up that doesn't mean he still doesn't have fans. Fans follow a fad, so if they hear that Ja's career is over then they don't wanna support him. These kind of people don't listen to music for its content but how popular an artist is, why you think Wayne sold so much, he's the major rapper out now, but I guarantee in 2 years he won't be as hot as he is now. BTW Ja actually murked 50 and Em with "Loose Changes" but no one cared once 50 had major popularity status.

Murder Inc: As Irv was going through the trial he changed his label's name to "The Inc" to look less guilty, but the label was eventually put on hold after he was dropped by Def Jam. While he was shopping around for a new deal and dealing with money laundering charges this lead people to believe that 50 cent destroyed them since it happened at the same time. This gave 50 more power in thinking he could go after anyone and not pay the consequence.

Nas: Now let's be clear there's no way 50 can take Nas in a rap battle, so when 50 disrespected Nas he responded with "Don't Body Yourself" which was the beginning of the end of 50.

Jadakiss: Not too sure as to why 50 would go after Jada, maybe he saw the old him in 'kiss, back when he was chubby and could spit:

But anyway 50 could never destroy "kiss, he might've influenced Interscope to push Jada's album back but that's because he was the top money maker for them(keyword: was). This beef with 'kiss, Joe and Nas showed everyone that 50 needed beef to sell records, but also showed his hater side too.

Fat Joe: Many don't seem to like Joe anymore, not sure if it's because of 50 or what, but he always bring the hits. After 50 went at Joe for his Massacre album to sell, needing to regain his hardcore image back he went after him again 3 years later, I guess 50 wasn't going to take the chance to go after someone more popular again(Kanye). Basically 50 and his 2 goons made a mixtape to coincide with the release of Joes album, not sure why. I guess his point was to outsell Joe's album with a free mixtape, let me repeat A FREE MIXTAPE, of course it was going to get more attention, but why the hell would he use the same track on his mixtape as a single for his G-unit album, no one knows.

Cassidy: This was hardly even a battle and Cassidy's rap career wasn't even affected with this beef so let's skip it. But the beat to 50's only hit off "Curtis" did sound like the beat to "Ima Hustla".

Kanye West: As a desperate move to move large amounts of units 50 challenged Kanye to a sales battle and lost and stayed losing weeks after. In the end "Curtis sold over 2 million worldwide while Graduation sold over 3 million worldwide, if anyone says otherwise they have the wrong information. Need proof go to: worldwidealbums.net
50 even went as far as to making fun of Kanye by stripping on stage to one of his songs, not sure as to how that's making fun of Kanye since Kanye doesn't strip. Desperate for attention 50 goes at him again by dissing his new song "Love Lockdown", and people say Game can't keep 50's name out his mouth, smh.

Cam'ron: Not sure where he's at, but he can comeback at anytime time he wants 50 never destroyed him. My only messege to Cam' is... STOP HIDING NIGGA!

The Game: The biggest mistake 50 cent ever did was to beef with The Game. After 50 kicked Game out of his group because he was jealous of the attention Game was getting and because Game didn't participate in a stupid beef with rappers he respected, G-unit started to fall off. Olivia gets dropped, Buck and Banks barely make it to gold, 50 loses 8 million+ fans, it was all fine when Game was there. Now even worse TOS can't sell past 200,000, don't know when anybody else on G-unit will drop another album 50's too busy trying to rebuilt his fanbase and as Game predicted Buck was next to leave.

FOR EXCLUSIVE VIDEOS OF SONGS OFF THE GAME'S "L.A.X." ALBUM GO TO THIS THREAD:

http://community.allhiphop.com/go/thread/view/12461/4962715/VIDEOS_Never_Can_Say_Goodbye_Letter_To_The_King_LAX_Files_Ya_Heard_Cali_Sunshine_Nice_etc

Young Buck: One of 50's own and most loyalist proving that anyone close to 50 can get dissed. He basically went at Buck because Buck wanted to be a man and squash the beef with Game. But 50 wants to control who his goons talk to. 50 even did something so foul as to record a coversation they had showing that he never even trusted Buck in the first place. But getting rid of Buck was a bad move, this made G-unit lose even more fans seeing how as most thought that Buck was the best out of the unit.

Lil Wayne: 50 been trying to bait Wayne but he wouldn't bite, he even dissed Wayne for kissing Baby, but still nothing. Wayne was not going to help 50 sell albums, but 50 did help Wayne by calling him out. It seems that being on everyone's songs, what 50 dissed Wayne for, was the very thing that catapulted Wayne's buzz. But did Wayne actually respond to 50? In a way he did, if you listen at the beginning of "Gossip", Wayne said all he needed to say "Stop hating on a nigga, that is a weak emotion the lady of a nigga". ETHER

You can tell 50's afraid of not selling past gold on is next album, cause he has to make a movie and try to change is music completely or as he say "reinvent the wheel", what rapper whose confident with his music has to do that?

To those that respond please do not compare the amount of money 50 has with the other rappers seeing how that has nothing to do with musical skills.

Peopel are tired of him and he has not dropped any hot reocrd at all.He will sell of his name, but if T.O.S is anything to guy by,then he should prepare for worse. He lost to Kanye West and still is atatcking dude for attention.Yayo & Banks are toast cuz of 50.Game made the best move, notice how game can collaborate with many people. But G-Unit cant cuz 50 broke bridges with a lotta people.

50 byhimself is good,he dont ned albums but his artists are toast.

God damn you went to a lot of effort to hate. Formatting, embedded video, well done.

A couple quick notes: You're delusional if you think JA served them on Loose Change. They put Ja's disses on their own mixtape for the unbiased listener to decide. I was unbiased at the time, and Doe Ray Me, Still Talkin', etc, all were superior disses. Not even close.

All the other artists aren't really relevant to the discussion at hand which is: How does anyone say 50 is losing?  Those dudes are effectively out of the game, more or less (Game's next joint only the BWS Street Team, of which you are obviously a part, will be checking for).

And maybe you judge success a little differently than I.  But even with all the internet nerds that devote their time to hating, the dude was just in a movie with Deniro and Pacino.  He took home 150MM last year.  And everyone is still checking for his next joint, not to mention that his mixtape shit this year was hotter than just about anything your favorite artist put out.

Admitedly your time isn't that valuable but there must be something else for  you to do in the basement of your mom's house. Maybe clean the crawl space?  Vacuum a bit?

I thought I mentioned don't bring money into this, this is only a musical discusion, would you say Diddy is better than Outkast cause he has more money than them? Do you think Diddy can sell more than T.I. cause he has more money than him? This is about 50's music  compared to everyone else's and how 50 mostly destroyed himself by himself in other words he's already self-destructed.

I only made this to silence the 50 Cent d-riders and it's all true from an intelligent point of view

Dickriding other camps doesn't get your point across. And if you think LAX was hotter than either Thisis50 mixtape, you're smoking the proverbial glass dick.

You wanted an argument focusing on only music. There you go.

Da fukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.....outta here wit dat dumb ish homie. 50 Cent went mainstream and it was a wrap. All dem other bums aint have ish to do wit it. And what are we talkin about anyways. 50's last album (Curtis) sold more records the first week than everybody who's dropped this year. And that was his WORST album. 50 Cent started appealing to white people and dat was pretty much da end of his run in da hood. And da white people only like what "dey think" is poppin in da hood. Soon as they figure out it's "cool" to hate 50 in da hood (you know dey are 2 yrs behind) Fif will be back. Yall hatin so hard u goin make Fif da under dog once again.

P.S.

The same thing will and is happening to Lil Wayne. One year from now, go to any project in dis country and ask a nukka bout Lil Wayne.....lol.
