Everything he's done and will do will always be compared to Jay and he just can't compete. But Bleek is tight. He can spit fire sometimes, Plus he just don't sound too motivated,ya know? Very uninspired sound.

^^^ both of u are wrong....where Bleek went wrong was he made weak ass albums......
Jay was supposed to retire after Vol 2 remember? and Bleek was supposed to be the one to hodl The Roc down....That Coming Of Age album was bashed by critics before it dropped...immediatly u heard Jay speak of his next album which was rumored to be titled The Thriller but turned out to be Vol 3.......Then Bllek dropped the weak ass Understanding album and it was down hill from there....The thiong is that he couldnt make an outstanding album....thats where he went wrong....same story goes with Beans....Cuz bothe Beans and Bleek were hyped to teh extreme

The reason Bleek's album was bashed so bad is because he was standing in the shadows of a giant. So your tellin me that if there was no Jay-Z and Bleek had of dropped albums on his own critics still would have bashed him??? I don't think so. The same for Beans, Freeway, Young Gunz....all of them early Roc guys. The only real success from the Roc other than Jay is Kanye and thats because he came along so late in the game to the point where there was a crack in the door for him to slide through.
Really thats the case for any big time superstar who has a crew under them. Think After Tupac who really materialized from Deathrow??? No one Snoop and Dre were already big. Biggie who from Bad Boy really materialized after him??? Really no one. Nas who from Bravehearts really did anything?? No one. At the end of the day when you are in a crew where the leader is a Giant and in this case a Legend in rap all of his disciples aren't going to have as much success.

Bleeks albums were weak plain and simple...

Hahahaha see I like breakin lil ass holes like you down. Yeah what about 50 Cent??? He wasn't in a crew with Eminem if you look at Eminem you gotta look at D12 thats who really phucked with Eminem I mean granted Em signed 50. And Dre signed Eminem true but was Eminem ever what you would consider in and overall crew that was led by Dre??? No he wasn't. They were not considered to be overall crew. Now what else you gotta say boy???

It was already set in his mind that he really doesn't have to go as hard because he knows that Jay got him regardless. |

^^^^^^^ I completely agree wit you. Me & my boy was just talking bout this. No crew in Hip Hop as produced another star outside of the main dude. As for 50 he came into that situation with his own crew G-Unit as he was basically his own man. but if you go down the list besides Dr. Dre one has really been able to produce any REAL star besides themselves Nelly - St. Lunatics (NOPE) Luda - DTP (NOPE) T.I. - Grand Hustle (MAYBE) Young Dro had it wit Shoulder Lean but where he at???? Nas - Ill Will (NOPE) Busta - Flipmode (NOPE) OutKast - Aquemini/Purple Ribbon (Maybe) Killer Mike / Bubba Sparxxx if you count em |
