got this from wordofsouth.com

Houston legend rapper Scarface, who has become more bitter as of late, speaks out about the injustices he believes are destroying hip-hop today. In a recent interview, Face point out why he thinks it's falling apart and how "white boys" in corporate positions are one of the reasons the music has been lacking.
"How can a gang of white boys tell a n*gga what's hot? Quote that, I said that, I said it!......I think the f*cking roles need to be reversed. N*ggas should be sitting behind the desk, them muthaf*ckas should be running around. Giving certain artists the spotlight, their moving inside our position, it's bull****!"
Face is apparantly unhappy about the radio as well as he says, "Anything that radio plays is wack. All the great records don't get played. I feel like radio and big record companies are trying to destroy Black music with the **** that they play."
While also saying he believes Soulja Boy had a"brilliant idea" and what he did was "great", Scarface does blame artists making cash for ringtones with discrediting the game also. "I think it's bull****, it discredits the whole Hip-Hop movement when you resort to ringtone rapping. It's not respecting the game, it's disrespecting it. I think the internet, Black radio and big record companies are hurting Black music."

But according to Russel Simmons whiteboys have been dictating whats hot since the 80's so whats Scarfaces point?

Perez Hilton, Clay Aiken, Spectacular from Pretty Ricky and Blankk all walk into a gay bar.  They go to the bar section and notice there is only one bar stool left.  Perez Hilton says "Wanna flip a coin for it?" in which Blankk replies "I have a better idea, why don't we flip it over."

I swear I said this exact same shit a while ago, I wouldnt say whiteboys is destroying it though. Its these old white people at the top of the record labels that didnt like the hip hop content of the early 90's, remember when mainstream America hated hip hop. They are purposely removing the hood knowlege as well as the basics and creativity that created hip hop cause they dont want us to hear nothing like that. Hip Hop has became big time business wise, and that is because white people has made it more mainstream friendly, and these bitch niggas have followed the shit. At the same time they are using the original hood ingreadient to negativley affect the game by bigging up wack ass fake niggas (Rick Ross, Wayne, Plies) who is rapping about this imaginary super thug druglord persona that they know nothing about. In Scarfaces words, "This is some bullshit".

I agree....not flat out like that, but to some degree. When i hear Classic rock stations, and oldies stations they don't play a certin song every hour. it's(radio) like going to the same club on different corners, but the same DJ with only one 8gig Ipod.

I think the record labels are crazy, just putting focus on sales. They don't develope the acts, and after one hit or none at all they toss artist. and there seems to be no reguard for the seasoned vets.

Scarface says what other people are too afraid to say...HIPHOP died at the exact moment that they injected their satanic, soulless energy into it.

I do low-key agree with Face. The hardest songs don't get radio play. But it's all about money now, ( I don't like it), but with so many songs gettin shared over the internet, the only way rappers is going to eat is by ringtones, etc... I don't believe that it is just white people messing it up though, I think it is all the "greed" in the radio stations, etc. I do know that taste in music is OPINION, but I think exec's do push a lot in favor of certain artists, instead of letting the listener's decide who is buzzin'. I honestly don't listen to the radio anymore because I hear the same songs over and over and over. I enjoy the artists but I think there are too many songs to just play the same ones.
