Nas dropped a lot of important names on his new record "Ni993R/Untitled", many people who aren't familiar with the African-American struggle or African American history might not recognize many of the names that Nas dropped, or their backgrounds so I left  short bio's so people can get a complete understanding of the lyrics.

Master Fard Muhammad

Founder of the Nation of Islam, Supreme Wisdom, Actual facts, Lost-Found Lessons/120', and the inspirational wisdom behind the 5%- Nation of Gods & Earths, mysteriously disappeared.

("Confucious Confucious Sigmund Freud is
Farad Muhammad an evolution of GOD")
Nas "We are Not Alone"

Noble Drew Ali

33rd degree master mason and founder of the Moorish Science Temple of America, author of the Circle 7 Koran, sparked the Nationalization and Sovereignty movement before he died mysteriously.

("The problem is we started thinking like the colonist's 'till Noble Drew Ali started droppin' that consciousness")
Nas "Ya'll My Niggas"

Dr. Huey P. Newton

Co-founder of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense and creator of the free-breakfast program for children in the inner-city, and author of "Revolutionary Suicide", he beat a murder case for killing a crooked cop, he was gunned down in 1989.

("Im Huey P. in Louie V. at the eulogy throwing molotovs for Emmett")
Nas "Queens get the Money"

George Jackson

Founder of the Black Guerrilla Family Black Panther and author of "Blood in My Eye", he exposed the brutality and racism inside prisons and was gunned down by racist prison guards in 1971.

("I wanna dedicate this joint to Jonathan Jackson and George Jackson")
Nas "Testify"

Jonathan Jackson
A 17 yr old revolutionary who stormed a courthouse and took a judge hostage in an attempt to break his brother George Jackson out of Prison, he yelled to reporters gathering  outside the courthouse, “You can take our pictures. We are the revolutionaries!” he was gunned down during the escape along with the hostages by police.

("I wanna dedicate this joint to Jonathan Jackson and George Jackson")
Nas "Testify"

Dr Ivan Van Certima

Legendary anthropologist and linguist, he wrote one of the greatest books on African/AfricanAmerican history; "They Came before Columbus", he actually went before Congress with proof that Columbus did not "discover" America.

("I used to worship a certain Queens police murderer untill I heard the words of Ivan Van Certima")
Nas "We are not alone"

Min Louis Farrakhan

The leader of the Nation of Islam, student of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad and Malcolm X. Arguably the most powerful African American  in the United States, led the Million Man March in 1995, and has mediated many of HipHops "beefs" before things became violent. (A song dedicated to Min Farrakhan was labeled "untitled" due to label politics).

("They did not have the power to stop Louis Farrakhan"
Nas "Untitled"

A message to those who trapped us up, from federal guys who backed them up
We never will die, we black and tough, lead in your eye, we strapped to bust
Half of us been locked up inside the beast, look at the time we see
Brooklyn to Compton streets, Queens, even the Congo needs dreams
Our bullets and triggers our enemies pullin' on innocent women and children
It wasn't no ghetto killers who mixed up the coke and put guns in our buildings
But I'm not gon' cry, and I'm not gon' stand just watch you die
I'ma pass you a .9, I'ma grab your hand -- come on let's ride
A message to those who killed the king, who murdered the Christ
The same regime, what God has built you never can break
What God has loved you never can hate, man makes rules and laws
You just a ruthless dog, your kennel is waiting
You devils will run back into the caves you came from
Whenever that day comes, forty-acres, plantations, see every race won

Things like this are why I think Nas is the most complete lyricist. Instead of just rattling off pointless multies and metaphors, he actually has interesting topics with substance and history. He doesn't bore you with the same repetitive tales of drugs and money.
