Things a bit slow in the asylum, so here's stuff I found on my journey through the internet. Might work, might not, whatever. These comicsare I think are def must reads. I know the descriptions and stuff are kinda bare and uninspiring, but if you want that wikipedia is a great place for comic info.

Generally I'll post mostly indie or indie esche comics, if you're looking for something feel free to request but I won't promise you anything. If I see it I'll post it.

his father

Preacher

Preacher tells the story of Jesse Custer, a down-and-out preacher in the small Texas
town of Annville. Custer was accidentally possessed by the supernatural
creature named 'Genesis' in an incident which killed his entire
congregation and flattened his church.

Genesis, the product of the unauthorized, unnatural coupling of an
angel and a demon, is an infant with no sense of individual will.
However, as it is composed of both pure goodness and pure evil, it
might have enough power to rival that of God himself. In other words,
Jesse Custer, bonded to Genesis, may have become the most powerful
being in the whole of living existence.

Custer, driven by a strong sense of right and wrong, goes on a journey across the United States
attempting to (literally) find God, who abandoned Heaven the moment
Genesis was born. He also begins to discover the truth about his new
powers, which allow him to command the obedience of those who hear his
words. He is joined by his old girlfriend Tulip O'Hare, as well as a hard-drinking Irish vampire named Cassidy.

During the course of their journeys, the three encounter enemies and obstacles both sacred and profane, including: the Saint of Killers, an invincible, quick-drawing, perfect-aiming, come-lately Angel of Death
answering only to the authority of God Himself; a serial-killer called
the 'Reaver-Cleaver'; The Grail, a secret organization controlling the
governments of the world and protecting the bloodline of Jesus;
Herr Starr, ostensible Allfather of the Grail, a megalomaniac with a
penchant for prostitutes, who wishes to use Custer for his own ends;
several fallen angels; and Jesse's own redneck 'family'

Orbiter is a graphic novel by Warren Ellis and Colleen Doran, published in 2003 by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint. It is a hard science fiction story set in the early 21st Century about a team of specialists employed to understand the mysterious reappearance of the space shuttle
Venture. The shuttle crashed back to Earth after disappearing ten years
earlier with its crew missing, save for the catatonic pilot, and alien technology on board.

Ellis and Doran are both space flight enthusiasts and dedicated Orbiter to the "lives, memories and legacies" of the astronauts who died in the 2003 Columbia disaster.

Props on the invincible. I bought the first two volumes in tpb (the only volumes the store had) and felt like reading the rest to get caught up since I fell off in reading the series.

Y the Last Man

In the series, on July 17, 2002, something simultaneously kills every mammal possessing a Y chromosome - including embryos, fertilized eggs, and even sperm. The only exceptions are Yorick Brown, a young amateur escape artist, and his Capuchin monkey Ampersand.

Society is plunged into chaos as infrastructures collapse and the
surviving women everywhere try to cope with the loss of the men, their
survivors' guilt, and the knowledge that humanity is doomed to
extinction. Vaughan meticulously crafts the new society that emerges
out of this chaos, from the conversion of the phallic Washington Monument into a monument to the dead men, to the genesis of the fanatical ultra-feminist Daughters of the Amazon, who believe that Mother Earth cleansed itself of the "aberration" of the Y chromosome, to male impersonators becoming valued romantically and professionally.

Over the course of their journey, Yorick and his friends discover
how society has coped in the aftermath of the plague. However, many of
the women they encounter have ulterior motives in regard to Yorick.
Though the subject matter of the series is entirely serious, Y: The Last Man
is also noted for its humor. Yorick in particular is a source of
one-liners, although the other characters have their moments as well.

The Authority is a superhero comic book published by DC Comics under the Wildstorm imprint. It was created by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch, and follows the adventures of the Authority, a superhero team mainly composed of Ellis-created characters taken from Stormwatch - a title Ellis had previously written.

It is notable for its intense graphic violence, grand scale and
visual flair, often described as "widescreen" comics, and the
uncompromising attitudes of its characters.
