Restricted free-agent center Marcin Gortat was scheduled to fly to Dallas on Thursday after giving the Mavericks a verbal commitment to sign an offer sheet with them next week, according to NBA front-office sources.

Gortat averaged just 3.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last season and 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds during the Magic's run to the NBA Finals, but his opportunities in Orlando were limited behind All-Star center Dwight Howard.

Your avi is more interesting than this thread. I think gortat might do well in dallas. They are still not going anywhere as long as they have a euro-softie as their star.

Somebody once told me that I'm already in hell
Freedoms a state a mind
And just the heart of me's in hell
I free my slave mind so a part of me's in hell
And when it's hard to breathe, a part of me inhale
So pardon me

There are a lot of good big men still on the market. Ben Wallace might get bought out. Varejao is still out there. I doubt Minnesota is going to hold on to Songaila. Shit if they lucky, they might even be able to land Camby.

He might be a lil and I mean lil bit better than Damiper, but don't expect much from him. Plus Orlando is down to one Big Man. Dwight! What are they tryin to do!.......Orlando is hurting themsleves I think. Howard needs help with the boards and some toughness in the paint and they are losing what lil they have.
