My Raptors getting Hedo isnt a bad move, but we still need a good starting Center and SG. |

What's Next For Marion?: The Toronto Raptors were rumored for several days to be a dark horse in the Hedo Turkoglu race, and it appears they have decided to go "all-in" on the 6'10 Turkoglu. To create the space needed to sign Turkoglu to the rumored 5-year $56 million deal reported yesterday, the Raptors would have to renounce the rights to Anthony Parker (who is leaning towards a deal in Cleveland), Shawn Marion (who passed on a 4-year $32 million offer from the Raptors) and Carlos Delfino (who was issued a Qualifying Offer sheet recently). Raptors sources call it too early to say how the mechanics will work out with rumors that Shawn Marion could be part of a sign and trade deal through Orlando for Turkoglu, with Portland being a possible end destination for Marion. The Blazers have opened talks with Marion and Andre Miller according to sources, and are rumored to be open to a discussion with Knicks free agent David Lee. The one "named" player the Blazers have not been linked to is Paul Millsap, although sources close to his camp say there has been contact, it's just not clear if there is enough mutual interest to move things to the next level. Turkoglu's decision to take Toronto's offer was in part about money, but mainly about lifestyle. Turkoglu and his wife Banu had their first child in March and are overly sensitive to where they will live. She was rumored to be the driving force behind staying in Orlando, and it's believed she had a lot of influence over giving Toronto a chance to make a better offer.
Marion might go the Blazers now is what it looks like

First round? Cmon fam, even with our losses, Atlanta, Philly, Whoever is not beating us in a first round series.
Alston had to go. He wasnt going to accept being a backup no matter how much he says he would have. Plus we get a healthy Nelson back It seems like Turk was leaving anyway, so at least we got Carter for him Battie was trash and I'm glad to see him go Gortat will be missed but you dont give 25 mill to a guy playing 10 minutes a game Losing C. Lee will definitely hurt, but we got back another promising young player in Anderson
Id rather fill our bench with Matt Barnes/Dice/Sheed/Bass. |
