What's everyone been readin? Anyone got some new ideas for the site? Check in and let everone know what's up. Till then I'll be losin in Madden online. The Dark Knight wasn't really that good.

jackroller Posts: 5310	I partially agree. The joker was the SHIT. But honestly besides the joker what was awesome about it? Were there any real great Batman moments? Or Dent moments for that matter? Don't get me wrong all the actors did well but I dunno. Take the Joker out and the movie isn't that good - although I will admit he was most of the movie was about the Joker. Anyways, tonight is the main night of the homecoming week of the sorry school I go to. The only thing we do well is party though and this is the biggest one. I'm going downtown with a lucha libre mask on that has the school colors. Pretty sure I'll score. The best thing about wearing a mask to the bar is you have to drink enough that you don't feel silly wearing a lucha libre mask. I'm **** tanked.

I thought the movie was on point. It was much darker than the first original film. Only thing I didn't like about the movie was when Christian Bale's voice sounded "raspy" as he was trying to speak in a dark tone voice. Didn't work out man. But other than that minor mistake, it was a very pleasant entertaining film. As many pointed out through other websites, it was Ledger who shined in the film. I hate doing this but compared to the first movie it lacked a good storyline, I mean in the first you understood why Ra's wanted revenge or what the Scarecrows purpose was. In this one the Joker is just robbing banks and fcking cats up because he doesn't like Batman. And Heath was a good Joker but all this hype on him being nominated for an Osacr is trash.

Dark Knight was flawed but even with these flaws, the film was still immensely entertaining and overall very well executed. Jackroller, I don't know how you can say Harvey Dent didn't shine. His storyarc in DK was pretty much the soul of the movie. And you can't really evaluate a film by saying it wouldn't be the same if you took away such an integral part of it.

Best actor and best supporting actor are 2 very different things. best supporting actor goes to the weird quirky roles. sometimes funny, sometimes serious. The grandpa from Little miss sunshine, robin williams and goodw ill hunting, marisa tomei in cousin vinny, joe pesci in goodfellas, whoopi in Ghost. All Supporting actor oscar winners. Heath Ledgers charcater would fit perfectly for an oscar.
