since when is it ok for a grown man who plays a violent game like football to be suspended and looked down upon for having a shoving match with another grown man who is being paid to follow him..i mean u pay this man millions to knock people around and full speed and pump iron but its a problem when he has a some alchohol and gets into a shoving match..b/s if u ask me..but then again i'm not the dictator wait i mean commissioner..all i keep hearing is "well they gave him plenty chances" which is true but lets be fair, the man did not commit a crime and if this was any other player in sports period we would of never heard about this shoving match that took place between 2 grown men..

exactly wat i thought no replies..i get the point of him being on league probation..but if the dude hasnt broken any laws then wats the problem..this dude roger is going around implementing his own rules on certain players based on their past..how can u tell a grown man he isnt allowed to drink alchohol.. and the point i'm trying to make is he didnt break no law while he was intoxicated he just had a fair one with a security guard..the media has normal people these days blowin stuff well outta proportion..

correction if he had no melanin we wouldn't have heard about it

Matt Jones perfect example...a bust as a QB so they convert him to WR was found guilty of possession of cocaine and is still allowed to play

but to back to the topic of your thread

i belive Pac Man was not suppose to make headlines for anything non-football related...period

I hear what you're saying but the problem lies is he is on a tight leash. If the police wasn't called he probably wouldn't of gotten in trouble. If it was me and this is my last chance at playing in the NFL and making money i'm chillin. I'm not putting myself in a position where i'm gonna make a bad decision or bring attention to myself. You know they looking at you. Has nothing to do with race it has everything to do with the perception you're giving.

But here's the thing, Greg. What did Pacman actually do? Nothing. He drunk while at a private function. So he can't live life away from his job? I find this a bit funny IMO. His probation officers said the entire incident will not affect his probation because the police did not arrest him. So let's get something straight. There was reports that a mirror was broken. That was reported as a lie. He was never arrested and his bodyguard was the one that attacked him first. SO WHAT DID HE DO? What can he not do on his personal time. I understand that it's based on perception and reputation. But does an employer have a right to tell you what you can do on your own personal time unless specified otherwise by your boss? I am not sticking up for Pacman. But I find this entire situation funny. Maybe I'm looking at it from a different angle.

he can't drink at a private party? Well holy shit. What's next, he can't use a private bathroom? Basically, nobody knows what happened and the Dallas police department is not telling us the entire story. Or the hotel managers or one. There should have been a deeper investigation IMO.

Yea you right. But the thing they're looking at is he's had alcohol involved in other instances. Now as far as who started it I never heard who started it. If the bodyguard attacked him first then there's a difference everybody has made it sound like he started it with the bodyguard. But back to my original statement. If i'm gonna drink it won't be out in public if i'm him. Just use your best judgement. You know they waiting for you to mess up. No a employer shouldn't be able to tell you what to do on your personal time but if you keep getting into trouble during your personal time they have to regulate something. Especially when they're giving you another chance.
