Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 1 Corinthians 1:20 I keep seeing these posts that acknowledge the great posters of the IC. Well, I'm here to issue a challenge to those self-proclaimed wise teachers that are so revered. It is my assertion that the Bible is true and mans' science is thoroughly flawed. You have these posters that everyone is so impressed with in terms of their knowledge, well now is the time for them to show and prove. If they choose to ignore this post I'll take it as a surrender to my assertion.......no lurking, you know who you are, those people who constantly try to discredit the Bible. Call them wise no more, if they can't answer a few simple questions.
This is it, I'm raining on your parade in the name of the Lord.......
The so-called scientific community claims that the earth is billions of years old, this is put fourth as a tested fact, however the theory of the billion years old earth was developed and honed prior to the 20th century (when there was no real technology to test anything) yet this early crude methodology is the standard for what is believed today, it makes no sense. Therefore in simple terms no cut and paste jobs (on my part at least) I will refute these claims and expose not only the so-called intellegent posters of the IC but the scientific community in general starting with one simple question
With regards to the layers of the earth (the geological column) which the old earth theory revolves around:
What caused each layer to cease forming and the next layer to begin forming?
That's it, one question, for all the scientific intellectuals of the IC Everybody thinks your so wise then this should be an easy one. Let the games begin, I'm only one man, this is your chance to silence a Bible believer and show that your right and the Bible is wrong, and all you have to do is answer the above question.

Does carbon dating, or many of the otehr means of dating not mean anything to you. I"m not claming to be an expert. but corobaration without collabaration exists in many ways. Archeologogical record should be enought ot convince you that the world is older than 6000 years old, if that is what your getting at. And since when did science negate the existence of God

What i would like to add is that just because humans don't have the answer to something now doesn't mean the bible or any religion is automatically right or that god exist.
We didn't know many things even just 50 years ago, we learn and discover everyday. You can't use our ignorance on certain matters as proof that the bible is right. Even if the bible may say some correct things still doesn't mean anything, there were very smart people back in the days as well, the fact that they may have discovered something or knew how something developed doesn't prove anything besides that matter.

Before I can show "what I'm getting at" someone will have to answer the million dollar question, or should I say the billion year question, only then can i tie it all together and address the inquiries about dating methods and what not. I'm sure someone feels confident enough in their understanding of science to take a stab at it.

again.If you plan to use the bible as the source or biblical teachings from biblical scholars please delete this thread. It's no different than somebody doing it from the opposite viewpoint. They'll have just as much evidence as you. It's pointless. Neither side knows for certain with fact. Simply what you believe to be true. What you want to be true. I wish people would concede such a point already and shit the fuck up.
