Earlier today this woman I know invited me to a meditative monk gathering not too far from where I live. To be honest I haven't decided whether or not to go yet right now, but I always retained a strong interest in Buddhism mainly because of how the Buddha encouraged his students to gain wisdom, understand their mind, & determine if something is true for themselves. It doesn't demand blind faith or worship any God, creator, or supreme being... but instead it emphasizes the practice of meditation, the attainment of knowledge, and the cultivation of mental discipline. She had also mentioned something about how Buddhism was initially a ethical system/way of life but was turned into a religion by it's followers. That's something I need to look into more. Anyway, if anyone can offer advice or information I'd appreciate it, cause I been thinkin about this shit.
What's your opinion on Buddhism? Good or bad?

Buddhism is a false religion founded on idolatry. Buddhist priests who grow up with these beliefs spend their lives worshipping Buddha. Until you accept Jesus you are on the wrong path. |

You're wrong. The Buddha didn't want anyone to worship him. His teachings specifically say not to follow him, but yourself.

A message to those who trapped us up, from federal guys who backed them up
We never will die, we black and tough, lead in your eye, we strapped to bust Half of us been locked up inside the beast, look at the time we see Brooklyn to Compton streets, Queens, even the Congo needs dreams Our bullets and triggers our enemies pullin' on innocent women and children It wasn't no ghetto killers who mixed up the coke and put guns in our buildings But I'm not gon' cry, and I'm not gon' stand just watch you die I'ma pass you a .9, I'ma grab your hand -- come on let's ride A message to those who killed the king, who murdered the Christ The same regime, what God has built you never can break What God has loved you never can hate, man makes rules and laws You just a ruthless dog, your kennel is waiting You devils will run back into the caves you came from Whenever that day comes, forty-acres, plantations, see every race won Sincerely yours, Street's Disciple, revelations |

Which is still idolatry. Following the ME god. Placing man as the highest authority and mans intellect as a perfect judge of truth. The lie told in the garden of eden still lives on in Buddhism and practically every other eastern religion. |
