Having been in your position 1000 times, i will tell you that you just F'ed up.  If you like someone, you should just do something about it.  Texting you like someone is sort of bitchass .. and the girl won't be incredibility motivated to hit you back unless she was already thinking of you like that.  Chances are she wasn't.  Do it in person .. step up your swagger.  I am not saying be a complete asshole, but you got to be agressive while still maintaining your character and not appearing all senestive like a lil girl.  I am all about taking my loses with pride at my older age - LOL.
