ladies I have to ask: Why is it most women aren't on/provide any sort of contraceptions? Also were/are you on any contraceptives?
Pretty much every chick i've messed with has never been on the pill, patch, or shot. I've had to provide the protection every time. As I thought about it more, the condom becomes a huge presence in a young man's life pretty much the second he's in high school. Even if you weren't getting any or not, it seems that me and my friends always at least tried to carry condoms. A condom in a high schoolers wallet is in my opinion, a timeless symbol of growing sexuality in adolecense, just as timeless as a letterman jacket repersenting school spirit or cigarettes symbolizing teenage rebellion.
And thing is, my parents didn't even like me carrying around condoms (same with a lot of parents). They encouraged celebacy more than anything. Yet I and many other kids found ways around that.
So why isn't it the same for a lot of women? Especially in the Black community?
Do you think it's due to the Christian nature of our society?
Do you think most female contraceptives are too expensive or difficult in obtaining?
Health risks?
Lack of parents instilling the importance of birth control?
*edit* oh and for women who had children young (under 21), were you ever on any birth control before you got pregnant?
Wasn't for me, niggas still be dying for whores.

many parents dont want to think about their daughters being sexually active so they dont take them to get on birth control but that doesnt stop there daughters at all because they have ways of getting ahold of some and they can also get condoms. which it is just as common to see a grl with a condom in her purse (or locker if shes in school) as it is to see guys with 1. and yes there is some health risks that come along with birthcontrol. but hey- if every body chose not to take something because there was some health risks, then no body would take any thing. and of course some birth control can be expensive but there are ways of obtaining birthcontrol cheap or even free. there is always the free clinic or people who are on well fare can git it free to by the insurance that is provided. and other insurance companies can help you get it cheap too.

*side note- for some females, birth control doesnt work. and for other females, it can cause many problems. i have known people to have allergic reactions to it as well. different people have different tolerance levels for the prescribed dosage too. it all depends on the person.
to your first question- yes i have been on birth control before but that was for a period of time. to your second question- i really cant say any thing about any problems in the blk community because its not just the blk community that has problems. its all communities. whites, blacks, asians, mexicans, latinos, puerto ricans, italians, hispanics, etc etc... it probably sticks out more to some people as the blk community because of the stereotypes we associate with people of the blk race.

Whether shes on something or not, still use condoms. I can not tell you how many times a woman was on birth control and she still got pregnant.

damn you can't use none of it
I've seen good days and bad nights.
I've seen dark houses without lights. And big houses without water. I've seen beautiful little daughters, become easy young girls. I've seen us abuse her for years. And now I see the revenge of the world. |

The men that I've been with in the past never cared if I was on birth control or not. They never asked me about it, never was a discussion |
