Biography
Reality “The Life Child”
Reality was born in Harlem New York and raised in the Bronx part of his life around the time when uptown rappers were making their mark. Introduced to Grandmaster Flash through his Godmother at the age of ten Reality strived to follow in the footsteps of the hip-hop icon. As a young teenager Reality took frequent trips out to Farrock Queens to visit Grandparents. At that point Reality already had earned a reputation for being a young hungry M.C battling rivals on the A-train after school to traveling to different boroughs to spit with the best M.C’s in the hood. In the early 90’s Reality’s mother moved to North Carolina away from the big city he always knew as a child but he made his presence known even away from the place that made him. After a complicated adjustment to the new living Reality’s mother sent him back to Farrock to live with his Grand Parents Reality now had a place to call home a place he could yell out in his Rhymes. As Reality got older he realized that the streets that were consuming his peers would soon consume him also Reality made the decision to join the military after witnessing several friend’s lose Their young lives to indictments. A few months before Reality’s time in the armed services was fulfilled a child hood friend of Reality’s Rocco Mallozzi had a Mixtape of Reality rapping over different instrumentals at a local radio station in Utica New York (UPSTATE) Rocco passed the cassette tape (yes cassette) to his older brother who at the time was doing graphics for the heavy weight boxing champ of the world Mike Tyson’s label Iron Mike Entertainment which was based out of Flatbush Brooklyn John Passed the tape to Jaquelynn Rowe the sister of Mike Tyson and C.E.O. of the new found label. Captured by the talent of Reality the C.E.O. wanted to meet and sign this unknown talent. Reality and a friend hopped in a 93 Honda civic and drove from Georgia to New York in hope to finally fulfill his dream everything he worked so hard for. After hours of traveling Reality arrived at the Iron Mike office’s to be greeted by the heavy weight champ himself taken by the moment Reality remained focused on the purpose of his trip after introducing himself to the rest of the staff Reality was asked to perform for Jaquelynn and her Famous Brother. As Reality ran through his verses with the speed of a money machine impressed by the performance in front of him Mike Tyson gestured to his sister and silently told her to sign the lyricist. Reality was asked to come back to New York for a showcase and promised the C.E.O. he would not sign with anybody else after a year of going back and forth from New York to Georgia Reality realized that nothing was transpiring with Iron Mike Entertainment feeling strung along Reality backed away from the situation keeping his advances and continued his journey to soon call a record label his home. Reality has traveled the world introducing people to his unique talent Reality now resides in Hinesville Georgia a small but hip hop embracing place just outside the south east region of Savannah Georgia, Reality travels to and from Atlanta to keep up with the latest sound and to sharpen his skills in the studios of some of his closest friend’s. Reality has had the opportunity to open up for the Roots, Black eyed peas, Macy Gray and Murder Incs. young R&B crooner Lloyd. Reality has performed a numerous hip-hop events Atlantis Music conference, Fort valley state university, Savannah State University, the Roxy in Atlanta Georgia and several Local clubs in different hoods state to state. Reality is strong lyricist, entertainer and street journalist putting out various mix cd’s over today’s hottest instrumentals, Reality’s five mix cd’s are: STREETS BEEN WAITIN, THE WAIT IS OVER, STREET PASTOR, 2 GUNZ UP and the POWER MOVEMENT. In total they have sold over 22,000 copies in his local area and surrounding states His music speaks to the vast music industry about goals and tangible situations that everyday people can relate to rather than things they never had of can’t afford. Reality’s Motto: GO HARD LIKE YOU PRESSED FOR TIME, what ever you are doing be persistent and never give up it’s the only way to accomplish anything in this world. Whether it’s Positive or Negative Reality has an underlying message from his hardcore style to his laid back mellow flow. Not sure where this great love of hip hop will take him Reality prays his everyday walk with GOD and his music will put him in a secure place among the likes of artists such as L.L. cool J, Rakim, Nas and Jay-Z.
