it seems like either Outkast/Scarface or both is mentioned when EastCoast biased fans want to throw the south an olive branch.


don't get me wrong they are dope, I think they have a more palatable approach with their music... even though their styles are specifially southern... for whatever reason people look to them as the go to guys when you mention the south and dope lyrics... as if they are the end all be all.

but dont get me wrong they are Dope as fuck.


occasionally you might see somebody mention a Bun-B... but there are plenty of dope rappers to come out the south but their style may not translate too well with eastcoast fans.
