Me Against the World is a classic album. Point, blank, period. It's timeless. I place it right up there with Illmatic, OB4CL, Midnight Maurderers, The Infamous, and 36 Chambers.
As for emceeing, 'Pac isn't a punchline rapper. Thank God. If that's what you think counts as a 'great MC,' then go bump your Jay-Z. 'Pac is a rapper with substance. And I'll take that any day over witty similes and punchlines.
Putting content aside, 808s was a great album musically. In fact, it's probably superior musically to most of his work. I don't think rap heads realize how influential that album was, both within rap and outside of rap, everywhere from shaping Drake's entire aesthetic to mainstream pop to indie rock. That album I think will stand up well overtime, regardless of the admittedly whack autotune vocals.
