  • Southern Rap VS. Northern Hip-Hop??

Outkast laid the blueprint for the spacy rap you hear in the young MCs today like Kid Cudi and Wiz Khalifa
Dudes like Master P helped teach the older up and comers like 50 Cent how to be businessmen
And dudes like Three 6 Mafia revolutionized the club music

This thread question shouldn't even be asked we all know, well people who know Hip Hop music should know that the North is where true Hip Hop music comes from. I'm not too sure about Gangster rap music, but when I was growing up on Pac, Cube, Eazy E and Snoop, those were the only true gangster rap artist at the time anit nobody talk about the South. The Southern rap anit really even known for anything really except good dance music you can play in the clubs, no hate it's just the truth.

you right, you aint too sure about gangster rap because the south played a part in that with The Geto Boys, Gangsta Nip, C-Murder, etc.
We also played a part in the resurgence of the classic backpack rap with Little Brother and Cunninlynguists
We started the bass music with 2 Live Crew and the like which were puttin on since WAY back when
And we also played a MAJOR part in what goes on today with the coke rap with UGK (Pocket Full of Stones) and handed over to Jeezy and T.I. (Dope Boys) and the kings of the genre, The Clipse
