  • The Official 2012-2013 NBA Season Finals (Spurs vs Heat GOING TO GAME 7!!!)

Even now, I don't understand how Manu stayed in that game. He must be giving Pop that fire head or something. There is no way a dude can have more turnovers than made shots and assists combined and still be in the game for crunch time.

  • Jordan vs Drexler in a classic game

I know this doesn't have anything to do with this thread, but MJ was such a scoring machine, sometimes you forget how gangsta he was on defense.

Dude used to just take the ball out of people's hands. It's one thing to get a steal by playing the passing, it's another thing to get a steal by smothering a dude on defense and just taking it from him.

Them dudes would have never made it to trial. I would have to been on my "A Time to Kill" shit.

  • Man of Steel

Thats what I was talking about. That aint no warrior training, superman just got straight bodied.

That gif doesn't support what you're saying. He was flying recklessly at her, she used her speed to sidestep, caught him by the throat, and slammed his ass. It had nothing do with her being stronger than him. She just outfought him. It's like a Judo shoulder throw. You don't have to be stronger than the person to it. If they come swinging wildly at you and you are skilled enough to execute it, that person is getting tossed regardless of how much stronger they are than you.
David Liss Comic Book writer opinion on Man of Steel

"I agree with the bulk of Mark Waid’s take on Man of Steel. While the resolution of the conflict with Zod (note my spoiler-free wording) did not break my heart, as it did Waid’s, it did trouble me. The challenge of telling a Superman story is that you have a character with god-like powers and a saint-like moral compass. How do you challenge him? The answer is not, in my view, to skew the compass. Turning DC’s most iconic hero into a Marvel character is the wrong move. And like Waid, I had serious problems with the “disaster porn” of the third act. I hated Superman’s indifference to collateral damage. I also hate that Hollywood doesn’t get that we don’t want to see buildings collapse. We don’t want to see vehicles crash into skyscrapers. That’s not entertainment. It’s not diverting. It takes us out of the story and makes us think, “That’s in terrible taste.” Fine some other way of showing the seriousness of the threat, please."

its getting trashed by comics writers dc and marvel

Their criticisms are corny and honestly why I don't like DC. They didn't turn Superman into the Punisher or Wolverine where he just went around killing bad guys because he thought the world was better off without them. He killed a man because that man made him make a choice between the death of the attacker or the innocents. He chose to save the innocents. What would they have had him do? The reason I call it corny is because they would have simply written so that either Superman wasn't in that type of situation or some dumb DEM popped up that allowed him to save the innocents and avoid killing Zod. That's cheesy writing at it's finest.

The fact of the matter is as a hero Superman is going to come against people so determined to accomplish their goals that they will force him into that decision. Maybe sometimes he figures out a way to avoid it especially after he's a pro, but he wasn't a pro in this movie. This was his first time ever being in that kind of situation, so he did what any normal person would do an made a decision. Now, maybe he uses his guilt from that decision as motivation to never again be put into that situation. That would lead to the unwavering morality of the Superman we all know, but to me, the idea that he always had that morality and would never at any point in his life have broken it under any circumstances is just stupid.

These guys seem to believe that every Superman story should be written so that Superman can always win without any bad repercussions in the end. That's childish and silly. If a megalomaniac comes to earth with superhuman powers and allies, highly advanced technology, and plans of wiping out the entire population and starting a new society on the ashes of the old one, it's highly unlikely that the world will be saved without heavy casualties. If said villain also resigns himself to either killing the hero or dying himself, unless the hero is so much stronger than the villain that villain can't resist anything he does, then chances are the superhero will have to either die or kill that villain. It's that simple.

Wait..so NOW it shouldnt be Lebron's team?!?! Please

How quickly we forget that awkard 2011 season. And let us not forget the 2011 finals, where it was this:

    120306041820789451.gif

That made Lebron start actin like this:

    lebron-meme-you-take-the-last-shot-miami-heat-meme-300x1991.jpg

They better coddle that man. Lmao Fuk it. Laugh about it afterward, but when he's mentally right he can win you a ring. Dont start that 'is it Wade's team?' shyt again. Wade aint leadin them to SHYT except Liv on Sundays dressed as an "elegant" pirate.

That's fine. It can be Lebron's team. But if the team loses, you can't come back and then complain that Wade didn't put up the same kind of numbers he did back when he was leading the team to a championship. So far in this series, Lebron really hasn't played any better than Wade, if it's his team shouldn't he be expected to separate himself from everyone else when it comes to production. And if he doesn't, shouldn't he be held responsible if the team fails?
