Pokémon GO 'sees its first death after 18-year-old breaks into house to catch virtual animal but is shot
A teenager has been shot dead after breaking into a house while playing Pokémon GO.
Jerson Lopez de Leon, 18, from Guatemala, is reported to be playing the game with his cousin Daniel Moises Picen, 17, when they decided to break into a home in Chiquimula to catch one of the virtual animals.
Local reports claim that Leon was then shot dead, while Picen was badly wounded.
Police say that they are looking for the occupants of an agricultural van seen racing from the scene.
If local reports are correct, it could be the first death caused by the wildly popular augmented reality game.
