  • The Almighty Unpopular Opinion Thread. Volume 17

Dipset was not a movement. They just happend to be a popular group at a certain time.
Clipse have always been garbage and did not invent "Coke" rap; Rae and Ghost were pioneers of that.
The South had the worst era in Hip Hop history
    Dj Quick is overrated
    Public Enemy shits on NWA
    Kendrick Lamar is wack

    1. "move·ment - A tendency or trend:"

    2. Don't think anyone have said that Clipse invented coke rap.

    3. Half-way agree.

    4. Strongly disagree.

    5. Hold them both in the higher-ups. I don't compare them, especially since they had different approaches musically.

    6. Strongly disagree.

  • Greatest intro

"It's Dark And Hell Is Hot" not a classic? Ehh, okay. That album together with his 2nd are certified classics. You might not like it and it might be outdated to YOU but that doesn't mean they aren't classics bruh.

See that's my problem when people discuss classic albums. Everybody just go off their own opinions. A classic is a classic. I can hate "Doggystyle" (for example!) as much as i like and say it's the wackest album ever but if it's a classic then it's a classic. A classic is something that made an impact on the culture, a print to the culture, dope music, brought something new and fresh, influenced artist and fans to come, represented the time and era of that period and so on.

To say that "It's Dark And Hell Is Hot" ain't a classic would prolly get you laughed.

As far as the thread, there's a difference. 2pac's intro is more of a song that just happens to be the first cut on the album. It isn't really a intro IMO.
