The reports also note that two witness accounts appear to back up Zimmerman's version of what happened when they describe a man on his back with another person wearing a hoodie straddling him and throwing punches.

The police report states that Trayvon Martin's father told an investigator after listening to 911 tapes that captured a man's voice frantically callling for help that it was not his son calling for help.

The autopsy also shows that Zimmerman shot Martin from a distance of between 1 inch and 18 inches away, bolstering Zimmerman's claim that he shot Martin during a close struggle.

Martin's autopsy report also revealed that there was a quarter-inch by half-inch abrasion on the left fourth finger of Martin, another indication of a possible struggle.

The teen, who lived in Miami, was in Sanford while serving a suspension for a bag of marijuana being discovered in his possession. Martin had THC, the drug found in marijuana, in his blood on the night of his death, according to the autopsy. His family told ABC News that it was "trace amounts" of THC.

Only people who are still claiming this guy didn't have the right to use self-defense are those who are dealing with a major case of cognitive dissonance and can't come to grips they were wrong or what they hoped was true isn't true or- people who have a MLK complex and want to shout from the mountain tops

Notice the difference between what is posted by me and you outside of the college and education funding statistics, my statistics actually have some bearing on the everyday individuals of today. Lets take your logic of reaching back to the 17-19th centuries for counter-arguments. Lets keep going back in history to absurdity to provide counter points. Its absurd. The point still stands that...TODAY whites are more likely to be victims of crime by blacks than the other away around

As far as education funding disparity, there are plenty of cases where funding is raised to absurd degree for the "urban population" and it does nothing. Washington DC is an example of this and once held the title of spending more per student than anywhere else in the country however it did nothing to improve black reading and school scores? Know why? Because its not a funding issues, its a cultural issues. People like to put the blame on the teachers for students failures however when you have students who come from culturally dysfunctional neighborhoods where their friends, parents, direct family members, the guy selling dope on the block, non-engaged parents are all factors in this child's life, no amount of money you provide to these students is going to fix the issue because school is not about how much money you get, its about having a work ethic to get good grades. Its a cultural issue.

As far as the study posted about financial disparity between whites and other races, I'm not going to come out to say there is mp pay disparity between the races one way or another based on race alone. However, the study does not mention any control factors like controlling for differences between the individuals place in a business hierarchy or job position. From just the article, it seems that they took a broad look at those with college degrees and documented the pay along racial lines. The most granular piece of information in that article is where they pinpoint that those with business degrees, there is still a racial disparity but like I said this is ignoring other factors like their actual job.

However, pay disparity, especially disparities of 6,000 dollars a year, or 500 extra dollars a month, are low hanging fruit and pithy statistics and inequalities in comparison to the crime statistics provided. You ask me to care about the fact that 37,000 thousand white women are raped a year by black males compared to 0 to 10 black females by white males in comparison to a 6,000 dollar pay difference in a year, I think its easy to see which one is the more egregious issue.
