Comparatively, George Bush was still probably a bigger asshole and more terrible of a leader than Thatcher and Reagan put together, in terms of policies and cutting the social safety net.
Sorry Loca, got to disagree. What Thatcher did to public employment in Britain has FOREVER changed the face of this country. We lost so many industries because of that bitch. We pay poll tax because of her. She was a demon. She supported Pinoche and started the Falkland war bollocks. Our class system got systematically worse because of her.
That woman was a destructive leader and her impact is still felt.
Let me be clear.
I'm not saying that I'm a fan of Thatcher--I'm aware of her track record. She was anti-feminist, anti-union, with backwards policies and basically a piece of shit conservative.
What I am saying is that, in my personal view, I still think that George Bush was a shittier President in terms of driving the Untied States into a hole of debt, creating mass unemployment for years to come, and colonizing an entire country while sending young soldiers off to die for a war that gained them profits.
