Only reason niggaz say Steph is dominant is because he's the best player on the best team. They only reason he has the freedom to play the way he does is because he has good players around him that keeps teams for loading their defenses up against him. He is dominate but I wouldn't say in the same regard that Shaq was during his hey dad, or MJ or guya like that. They were getting buckets through double and triple teams. Steph doesn't. Don't lie and say he does it. Guarantee you if he was on a worse team he would not be as dominant. He would still get buckets of course cuz he can shoot the lights out. But watch how he gets his points. He ain't just coming through and breaking two and three players down to get buckets. He gets a lot of buckets off of open shots, screens and getting open on broken plays. He ain't on MJ, Kobe, Shaq, or even Lebron's level when it comes to dominance. We've seen all of these dudes get buckets with defenses loaded up to stop them on far worse teams, with wayyyy less help.

We say he's dominant cuz he's dominant b

U have a point on everything else although I don't think "lol not as dominant as mj or Shaq" "he shoots off screens" or "has good teammates" constitutes as a knock on curry

It aint a knock on him, it is what it is. It ain't Curry's fault GS built a team around him to get the best out of him. Its clearly working but, we can't try and act like it's all based on what he is capable of individually. He's in a good situation but he wouldn't be the same player in a worse situation. We've seen Kobe average 35 with garbage teammates and defenses doubling and tripling him. We've seen MJ average 38 with mediocre teammates and double teams and triple teams We saw LeBron average 30, 7 and 8 with trash teammates. When Curry had ass teammates he wasn't even close to touching that lol. He is a great player B. We all agree with that, but he just ain't up there with the top dogs right now.

That's why I asked him if Curry could take the Lakers or the 76ers to the playoffs. Nigga if you put Lebron on the Current Lakers squad they would challenge for home court in the west right now. Curry would have them right where they are now. Dominant players do things like that. Curry isn't that kind of player.

Pierce in his Prime can't take this 76ers team to the playoffs, neither can KG who missed the playoffs 4 years in a row before going to Boston, and Wade? Nigga please... Nigga you dumb as shit..

@blu197 so can Curry take them to the playoffs? And did you watch basketball pre 2009. KG was a league MVP of a team who's next best players were a washed Sprewell and Sam Cassell. Go look at those roster of the pre KG, Ray Allen Celtics teams. Who was Pierce best teammate? Antoine Walker maybe? Nigga Wade took the Heat to the playoffs the year before Shaq. Those are a few examples of dominant players.

I'm talking bout the leaders of the team. Curry is not the leader of the Warriors. It's Draymond. And after that it's probably Iggy. I'm talking bout players who lead their team in multiple categories pts, rbs, ast, stl, and still guard the best player on the opposing team. When Sota play the Spurs in the playoffs KG is guarding Duncan. When the Celtics play the Cavs Pierce is on Lebron. When the Warriors play the Clippers Steph Curry not guarding CP3. He guarding JJ Reddick. He's not guarding Westbrook bruh. He gone hide on Andre Robertson. That's not a dominant player. That's a guy that's a product of a dominant team.

Ok now you are being stupid hes not a dominant player foh

No he's not. He plays on a dominant team. Lebron, Kobe, KG, Wade, Pierce those guys are dominant. Any 5 of those guys in their prime could take the current Lakers or 76ers team to the playoffs this season. Can Curry do that? Can Curry be n a team where he's the only All Star and lead them to the playoffs?

You know the answer to that is no. Can Curry take the that Cavs team Lebron beat the Pistons with on '07 to the finals? Could he have taken any of the KG T'Wolves teams to the playoffs. Remember those Celtics teams pre KG and Ray? Throw Curry on one of them squads and they probably don't even make the playoffs. At no point in his career has Curry been an above average defender. He's a one dimensional player on a really good team.

Curry has more than 1 triple double, is an avg not ass defender and shooting wise only Nash Ray and/or Reggie could fuck with him

He's an ass defender. He never guards the PG on the other team. Klay does that. He couldn't guard Delly in the finals. I get the whole well he could maybe one day be as good as the players the ranked him above but he's halfway done with his career. He's already had two injury plagued seasons. Statistically he would have to average better numbers than he currently is for at least another 10 years to even compare with any of the greats.

That's assuming he's not gonna fall of in 10 years when he's 38 years old. Do you realize that Steph is only 3 years younger than Lebron and he's 5 years older than Kyrie, Anthony Davis.

So curry has to avg better than 30, 5 and 5 with more than 270 3s a year for at LEAST ten years to EVEN BE CONSIDERED GREAT?

I'm talking about from a statistical standpoint. His numbers are not even top 100 al things considered. The only statistics he has a shot at being great at is 3 point shooting. maybe Ft shooting as well. His career numbers are pedestrian. The only way you can make a case for him being ranked that high with those career numbers would be if he has multiple championships. He has 1 and he was the 3rd best player in that championship series.

    He'd not a dominant player.
