I know I'm late but I had to put my 2 cents in. I agree with the premise of the article even if the author was mistaken about some of the references. I read a few of the ignorant comments by white boys I couldn't careless about their opinion about black women since they probably can't get white women to give them the time of day. As for the lost brothers downing black women it is ironic they want to talk about black women not respecting themselves when these are the same fools calling themselves nigger, dating whites and many are killing themselves or each other with drugs or guns. That is alittle more serious than wearing a weave (I'm natural btw). I don't listen to rap like I used to because of the constant disrepect of black people in general. Rap has steadly declined since rappers sold out the artform to glorify criminality in order to sell to bored suburban kids.
