Great movie, great script, direction and the acting was all above and beyond the usual crap in the theatres. Clearly not for dummies and people with an attention span of less than a few minutes.

(AllHipHop News) Bromance? Frenemies? The nature of Jay Z and Dame Dash’s relationship post- Roc-A-Fella breakup is still murky and Dame may have gave it more vagaries.

In a recent interview for the upcoming February issue of Details Magazine, Dash spoke on his new ventures but most importantly his relationship with former business partner, Jay Z. In the interview, obtained by Complex, Dash asserts

“I’m not counting that man’s money” before explaining his influence on Jay Z’s reported $470 million fortune:

It’s like saying, “I used to mess with a girl, and before I used to mess with her, she was mediocre. But because she started messing with me, I taught her things. I dressed her, and then I taught her how to have a career.” Does that mean after we break up I’m still supposed to be able to get some ass?’ He laughs at his crass analogy. ‘Like, I don’t feel entitled to that p*ssy. You understand what I’m saying? I don’t feel entitled to nothing he’s got.

Dash, never one to mince words went on to criticize the people Jay Z has been associated with in recent years. According to Dash, people like former Island Def Jam Lyor Cohen and Jay Z’s manager John Meneilly are only around Jay Z for monetary gain:

‘No disrespect to Jay—but every single person I see hanging around him is making money off him. They all conform so they can eat off him.’

This is not the first time Dash has hinted at being behind Jay Z’s business acumen during the Roc-A-Fella days to Details magazine. In 2005, a year after the infamous Roc-A-Fella split, Dash stated Jay was an “intelligent individual” whom needed to “show he can be the one to do the business part as opposed to the creative part.”

So let me get this straight....Dame taught Jay everything he knows yet Dame is the one hawking off possessions to pay taxes and Jay is worth $470 Million....Riiiiiiiiiggghhhhtttt.

That sounds naiive and childish bruh.

Dame was not the talent, he was the business side, so him teaching Jay would not mean he'd make more money.

Like the Wire, Levy taught Stringer but Stringer would end up w/ more bread.

Breaking Bad, Saul taught Walt everything then Walt went on to make more money than him.

Chris Lighty taught 50 a whole lot. He brokered that Vitamin Water deal...but in the end he ended up killin himself allegedly over his own debt.

    Understand?

So we are using fictional accounts now of proof?? Really?? Thats what this has been relegated to?

And what in the fuck does Chris Lighty killing himself have to do with Jay and Dame....stop with the straw man.

  • Re: The Official Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2 thread - Now Playing "AntMan"

Now that Disney has put the Star Wars comics in Marvel's hands, do you think we could eventually see a connection between that Star Wars and the Marvel universe? Perhaps some Jedi end up working alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy?

Going to happen. Star Wars fan's would storm Disney World en masse, a la Word War Z zombies.
