I could never get into this show but I'm going to try again....I keep hearing it's the GOAT. It can't be better than the Sopranos's though....
I mine and many other people's opinion, it is. It's much more indepth that the Soprano's and 🤬 really gets you thinkin about WTF is wrong with America.
Soprano's is about a guy.
The Wire is about a city. -

Try to give it another shot. You find it is better than Sopranos (and I was a Sopranos stan). The way characters are developed and how crime, schools, politics,media and law enforcement are all intertwined and effect each other is beautiful and liked bornnraised said the city is a major character of the show -

Thats because u probably saw an episode randomly in the middle of a season and didnt have a clue as to what was going on. which is why u should start only from the beginning when watching a show like this. its like a visual novel and should be treated as such. and honestly thats the only logical way u can view this and have even the slightest clue as to the events happening. thats one thing about the wire. its very unforgiving and refuses to hold the viewers hand in explaining things. it assumes that u have the mental capacity to already know how to do that. -
