    he beat the guy who beat the guy, it sucks he was a small guy moving up.....but again, who did he duck at the time?
    please show off your knowledge of 154 to tell me who he ducked before picking miguel cotto
    oh wait, cotto got beaten by trout and 🤬 up that fight too.
    soooo he beats trout who was technically top dog at 154
    and takes on floyd mayweather who is tops on the p4p lists and campaigning at 154

    Instead of fighting Lopez he should have fought Lara, Angulo, or Carlos Molina since they were at the top in that class making noise. Even K9 had a belt at the time and he chose little ass lopez, or was looking for a fight with a smaller Ortiz. You cant be the top dog in your own weight class only fighting smaller guys. He could have even took on Rosado... The opposition is there.

    I'm not saying he ducked but some handpicking was too obvious...

    And contrary to what everyone else says I think he beat Trout plain as day.

    can't say i remember exactly who he fought but i swear lara had a fight around that time and wasn't available.
    k9 had a dance card full at the time too but i don't think for a second he wouldn't have washed him.

    i won't lie there was some showcasing done but those had purpose
    ortiz was to set up cotto
    ortiz got bumped so he took on the guy who beat the guy (still a showcase)
    then when the cotto fight got derailed he did the same thing

    again keeping in mind his age (go a few pages back and see the post on reid for an example of moving fast too soon)

    Sure did it seemed to be very contrite on both sides.. About damn time.. Teddy been trashin Mike and giving revisionist history for years.. He use to 🤬 me off in Fight Night when he would speak of Tyson.. wonder what he really thinks aside from the blurb i read.. It was good for both of them though
