Nash Says Wrestling Died When Benoit and Guerrero Became World Champions

Grantland.com has published a lengthy article on the life and controversial wrestling career of Kevin Nash, who has begun to gain traction in Hollywood. A notable point in the article has the six-time world champion reiterating his stance on "Vanilla Midgets," a dismissive term he used as booker in the late '90s in World Championship Wrestling to describe small-statured, gifted technical wrestlers who didn't project larger than life personalities but were beloved by fans, such as Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko. "Big Sexy" feels the professional wrestling industry died in 2004 at WrestleMania 🤬 when WWE's "Super Bowl" concluded with the image of the under six-foot-tall grapplers reigning supreme as champions and emotionally celebrating. Even though the two wrestlers are now deceased, he still believes they never belonged in the main event scene due to their small stature.
"When Benoit and Guerrero hugged [at the end of WrestleMania 🤬 ], that was the end of the business," Nash says. "Has business been the same since that WrestleMania? Has it come close to the Austin era? Has it come close to the nWo or the Hogan era? You put two 🤬 guys that were great workers that were the same height as the 🤬 referees, and I'm sorry, man. Are you going to watch a porno movie with a guy with a three-inch 🤬 ? Even if you're not 🤬 , you will not watch a porno movie with a guy with a three-inch 🤬 . That's not the standard in porno films. So you put a 5-foot-7 guy as your world champion."
Nash has the same problem with today's "Internet heroes," CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.
"They are not bigger than life," he says. "I bet they could both walk through airports and not be noticed unless they have a gimmick shirt on and the belt."

Nash is a hypocrite. He's saying that Guerrero and Benoit killed the business by embracing at Wrestlemania when him and the Kliq killed Kayfabe by embracing at MSG...Dude really needs to stop. Just cause he rode the curtails of HBK (Which everyone in that crew did except for Hall) and got lucky with NWO(thanks to Hogan) doesn't mean he is a true legend to give comments like that. Like he's done much....Without those two major boosts, He was nothing more than a VEGAS loser in the wack ass world of OZ
Then he talks about Punk and Bryan. Didn't this 🤬 just tweet after Raw 1000 that he was bringing back NWO and he wanted Punk to lead it? Some wrestlers should not be interviewed.... -

Nash acting like the fans reacted positively to his stints as world champion. His WWF title reign was the most boring that i can remember, i cant think of one memorable feud he had in his year as champ other than Bret and Shawn who carried him in those matches.
As far as the NWO lets not act like he wasn't the third wheel in the group, he rode the coattails of Hogan and Hall. When he became the focal point of the group and started winning the WCW title the promotion started going bankrupt, i dont think that's a coincidence -

So y'all agree with short or average-height, non-threatening nerdy white boys having the belt? SMH that 🤬 is a joke! That's why no one watches that 🤬 anymore. Reality TV > WWE lol.
And SMH @ how corny wrestling has become. That comedy central, dull humor is not cutting it. Jericho fell off a cliff and is no longer funny, and CM Punk has always been too corny to take serious. Get some new talent ASAP or just give the belt back to Cena. At least he looks like he can somewhat fight. -
